Walked in for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Pretty empty (only one other table) but had my eye on this place for a while and have been meaning to try.
The service was friendly – our waitress was attentive and kind.
We ordered a mix of starters and mains (bahn mi not in photos).
The food was okay… everything tasted a bit generic… as in the curry tasted like those ‘golden curry’ cubes you get, not freshly made. We enjoyed our meals nonetheless, probably a 3 verging on 4 for taste.
They’ve put effort into the decor of the place and it was friendly, so a 4 feels deserved.

Such an adorable cozy spot! The workers couldn’t have been any nicer and food was prepared fairly quickly. I ordered the beef pho and it’s one of the best things I’ve ever eaten Lots of space inside and they offer free WiFi. Lots of vegetarian options and also offer halal options Will be coming back for sure!

The food is always very nice,pork and prawn summer rolls for starter and crispy pork noodles for main course is perfect lunch..jasmine tea or bubble tea the perfect drink depending on the weather

A lovely restaurant. We have made numerous visits everytime we are in Hornchurch. Great food, fresh, good quality and always nicely presented. The staff are wonderful. Take away is just as good as dining in the restaurant as well. Looking forward to our next visit. Thank you Xich Lo.

First time trying matcha today, and it was pretty much expected ngl (taste’s like grass), but the grilled chicken bao bun was a lifesaver/rebound to my satisfaction. I give it a great place to hang out and chat while enjoying food!

UPDATE still go to this place, prices have gone up but still worth it. For two people £34 for starter platter, main and a drink. Homemade lemon/lime drink is good and so is the spring rolls. The bubble tea is not great so I’ll steer clear from those.

I can understand why people say there is no flavour, however vietnamese food is based on freshness and delicacy. The spring rolls have plenty of flavour and I often have dreams about eating them. Plenty of chili and condiments available. You have gained a loyal customer, going every week as it is very healthy homecooked food.

Visited for a weekend lunch. Staff were welcoming and friendly. The food is excellent. The pho xich lo has a clean, light broth that remains fragrant and is packed full of flavour- very refreshing. The banh mi xich lo comes loaded with savoury meats and vegetables wrapped in a soft and chewy baguette. We also had a cold coffee which was delicious. You can get stamp cards for both the coffee and meals. There are vegan friendly options if you require. We are glad to have found an authentic tasting Vietnamese restaurant locally. Will definetly return to try the other items on a menu. Would recommend.

Visited here yesterday for lunch and was very pleased with the service I received.
It wasn’t too busy, which was nice. The woman who greeter us was very friendly.
I ordered the noodle soup with beef which was delicious. The meat was perfectly cooked and soup full of flavour. My brother ordered the vegetable curry which he said was fantastic. We both had the drip coffee which we both enjoyed (so much so that my brother bought the kit they have for sale)
