The soo shawma is a go to every time we are here as the food is fantastic. The first time we came there was only one person making the orders and taking orders so it took some time onto get the food but nonetheless it was worth the wait. This last time we came (12/21/25) we put in a carry out order to have the food ready in advance when we got there since we have 4+ people in our group however they did not start on the orders until after we had arrived. That being said it was still worth the wait and they were so kind and sweet to even give us baklava on the house which was wonderful and greatly appreciate. So even with the wait I still think their service is great as the treat their customers great. There were also multiple people taking and making the orders this second time so the wait wasn’t nearly as long as the first time we came a year prior.
I highly recommend stopping by here and getting the classic Donair shwarma and either a classic poutine or a Canadian maple poutine.

We stopped in here hoping for a better experience. It’s confusing it says Soo Shawarma on the building but everything inside says Prairie Donairs. The lady inside was working hard and trying her best but I don’t feel like she was set up for success using a fryer next to the cash register. All in all a bit of bizarre experience we left without any food. A man waiting inside recommended the Carnivore and said he returned often for the meal. I guess we might have just come on a rough night.

I recently tried the chicken bites at Soo Shawarma Burgers & Grill House, and they were absolutely amazing! The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside, with just the right blend of spices. The flavor was spot-on, and you can tell a lot of care went into every bite. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff were so friendly and attentive. This place is a gem in Sault Ste. Marie, and I’ll definitely be back to try more from their menu. Highly recommended for anyone who loves great food and great service!

Me and my husband went to the restaurant and ordered. The staff seemed unaware of what was good and had a very rude attitude. The appliances were all rusted and the place looked like it wasn’t cleaned. We took a takeout and when we came home the food was pathetic. The shawarmas were not properly wrapped and were dripping in sauce, honestly it was inedible because there was foil in one of them. The crispy wings were uncooked as can be seen in the photo and were also dripping in sauce not leaving it crispy anymore. I would never again visit this place nor would I recommend it to anyone

Seemed to have a few trainees. Very nice but slow. Lady in charge was extremely nice and constantly staying in communication & making sure we were satisfied.
Commercial fryer wasn’t used, using a table top so it was slow & fries were sub par but huge portions. Not the best poutine but still good.
