Friendly staff with great service. The spicy chicken fingers were delicious had a kick. The Layne’s sauce was yummy and peppery. Layne is better than Cane’s in my opinion. Strip size are just a little bit bigger than Cane’s. Will be back.

Friendly and professional staff with great service. The chicken fingers were delicious, and the Layne’s sauce was outstanding. Hands down, this is better than Cane’s. On my next visit, I’ll be trying the grilled cheese sandwich.

This is my second time ordering the chicken fingers. In short they were too salty. You can’t enjoy the food when it is salt heavy. The customer service was good and the food was prepared timely.

Saw this place was open and decided to give it a try. I ordered the chicken finger meal and a chicken wrap with sweet tea. The food came out fresh and hot along with big portions. They weren’t stingy with the chicken finger size along with the fries being nice and crispy. I noticed that the chicken does become dry after letting it sit for a while so do eat it as soon as it comes out and wished the fries had a little bit more salt to them. The crispy chicken wrap was well made and had a good amount for lettuce to chicken. The only thing I wasn’t a big fan of was their iced sweet tea. As it was lukewarm even with ice and had a weird aftertaste it to.
Overall, a good place for chicken and I would skip the sweet tea.

This is a soggy peppery version of Raising Canes lol same pricing, the tenders are a bit bigger than canes. But flavor wise the tenders & sauce were also EXACT to canes. We had to wait 10 mins to get food. & wasMissing tender on my 5pc. Gravy was bland. Toast plain. Just go to Canes at least it won’t be soggy

If you build it, they will come!

So, is Layne’s a “bootleg” version of Raising Cane‘s? Actually, no. Layne’s was founded two years before Cane‘s and most of us Houstonians may have never heard about them because their original home is in College Station, Texas. They’ve been at the Bellaire/Hwy 6 location for about a month now.

If you don’t frequent Raising Canes often, to the untrained palate, one would not know that you’re eating the competition.
The chicken tenders and fries look and comes VERY close to tasting the same as that at Cane‘s…even down to their Layne’s sauce.

So why try Layne’s? More of a variety!
-Option for spicy
-Potato salad instead of coleslaw
-Choice of 6 dipping sauces
-Five different flavored milk shakes
-Cookies for dessert

I had the opportunity to try the original tenders and fries but I’m looking forward to going back to try the spicy tenders and salted caramel shake!

Tried this place for the time. Got the 4 pc spicy with a Large Lemonade for $12.75.

I was actually excited to try this place out. Service was excellent but that’s where it stops. Chicken tenders were more like chicken bites. And the Lemonade was completely watered down. Fries were nothing special. I was really hoping that I had another food option close by. Unfortunately i probably won’t be going back. I even signed up for rewards and never got the link sent to me. Maybe they knew something I didn’t.

Really happy there’s a Laynes here now. Chicken tenders are good portions, unlike canes.

I will say this though, the first few times I came the tenders were nice and spicy. That’s the reason I come. But today idk who seasoned the spicy chicken, but it was not spicy. Please make it spicy. It’s called spicy for a reason, if people don’t like spicy then they should get regular

And the fries need some seasoning or some salt atleast too.

But overall, good
