Melodia European Cuisine is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, you feel a cozy, welcoming European atmosphere that instantly makes you want to stay longer. The food is outstanding — everything is fresh, perfectly prepared, and full of rich, authentic flavors. You can really tell that great care and love go into every dish.

The coffee deserves special mention — truly delicious, aromatic, and made just right. It’s the kind of coffee you come back for again and again, whether for a quick stop or a relaxed meal.

A big thank you to the owner, Vladimir, for creating such a wonderful place. His attention to quality, service, and overall experience really shows. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always makes you feel welcome.

Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates excellent European cuisine, great coffee, and a warm, inviting atmosphere. This is definitely a place I will keep coming back to!

Terrible experience from start to finish. The food was low quality, dressed up with fancy menu descriptions but served cold, poorly presented, and tasting anything but fresh. The cocktails were so bad — watered down, and like cheap mixer with barely any alcohol. On top of that, the service was slow and inattentive. Completely overpriced for what we got. Definitely not coming back.

Reply to Melodia restaurant’s owner:

Your response feels defensive to me rather than understanding. Finishing a plate does not mean the food was good , it simply means we chose not to escalate the situation that evening. Unfortunately , the food experience was very disappointing. I hope my feedback will help you to improve future guest experience. But so far, I would not recommend your place to anyone!

Our family of four had a great dinner here. We’d been hoping for another Eastern European–style restaurant in the area, and this one is perfect. The ambience is cozy, the music is pleasant, and the service is excellent. We loved the food and presentation, and the portions were just right for trying several dishes. We’ll definitely be back.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ MELIODA RESTAURANT – WEST HOLLYWOOD

I wasn’t even planning to eat.

I had just wrapped up a business meeting at the W Hotel down the street — suits, numbers, espresso, the usual “let’s build an empire” type of afternoon. I’m walking out, minding my own CEO-level business, and I see this elegant, polished exterior with a name I don’t recognize: Melodia.

Now listen — I’ve lived in LA for 25 years. I’ve eaten everywhere. Beverly Hills, Sunset Strip, private rooms, chef’s tables, hidden gems, overrated hype spots — you name it. So when something new pops up that actually looks refined? My radar goes off.

Curiosity activated.

I walk in.

First impression?
This is not “fancy casual.”
This is not “cute little European spot.”

This is Bellagio-meets-private-members-club-meets-executive-dining-retreat energy.

Crystal clean design. Elegant atmosphere. Sophisticated but not pretentious. Million-dollar feel without trying too hard. The kind of place where deals get signed and anniversaries get remembered.

Now here’s the real test — I ordered very specific traditional Russian and Ukrainian dishes. The kind you don’t mess around with. The kind where if they do it right, you immediately know they understand culture, heritage, and technique.

And guess what.

They didn’t just do it right.

They elevated it.

The flavors? Authentic.
The balance? Precise.
The execution? Executive-level.

And the presentation? Stunning. Not overdone. Not gimmicky. Just refined European artistry on a plate. You can feel the chef respects the roots but operates with fine-dining discipline.

This is what happens when traditional Eastern European cuisine meets high-end European culinary training. It’s fusion, but intelligent fusion. No shortcuts. No watered-down flavors for tourists.

Every bite felt intentional.

And the staff?
Absolutely adorable yet extremely professional. Warm. Attentive. Polished. No awkward hovering. No attitude. Just smooth hospitality like they actually care.

Then I meet the big boss himself — Vladimir.

Pleasant. Composed. Sharp. Business-minded. And here’s the part I respect most: he’s not just an owner — he’s involved. He personally chefs some of the dishes. That tells you everything. This isn’t a passive investment. This is pride.

You can feel leadership in the room.

In 25 years of dining in Los Angeles, I genuinely have not experienced this exact combination of authenticity, luxury, culture, and executive-level presentation in one place.

This isn’t just a restaurant.

It’s a statement.

It’s a hidden high-roller retreat disguised as a dining room.

Total gem.

If 10 stars were possible, I’d break the scale.

Melodia — welcome to the big leagues.
West Hollywood just leveled up.

We ordered lots of food and it was soo good! The cherry vareniki were my absolute favorite – I loved them so much I ordered them twice. Compot and kvas tasted just like the real thing, very nostalgic. We also tried khinkali, Olivier salad, and syrniki – everything was really good and clearly made with care.

Well, my only problem was that we didn’t have enough time to try everything. The food was so good we inhaled before we took a picture. Service was fast, the owner greeted us and gave his advice on the menu. We ordered what we wanted and added one dish recommended by the owner, the beef tar tar. I consider myself a gourmand, I visited a number of restaurants with Michelin star. I would give this place a Michelin star only for their beffstroganov and beef tar tar, and beet salad, and mackerel… fusion food with wonderful mix of texture, taste and something that I couldn’t grasp but I think it was pepper and some wine infused, or something… I don’t know, it was so good, I highly recommend to try everything . I truly hope this place will thrive, and we definitely will be back soon with friends and family. Highly recommend!!!

Love the high quality and tasty twists on Russian and American fare. So far everything exceeded our expectations and was served with a twist. Excellent, freshly prepared with a distinct flair. Music selection is excellent. Will come back to keep sampling.

I recently dined at Melodia Restaurant and was thoroughly impressed. The menu offers a delightful mix of appetizers, entrees, and salads, with the smoked mackerel salad ($17) standing out for its fresh, flavorful fish paired with pickled onions and cucumbers—perfectly balanced and visually appealing. The braised beef ribs ($34) were tender, with a rich beer glaze that complemented the mashed side. Service was attentive and went the extra mile. Vladimir made the most welcoming experience. The ambiance, with its warm lighting and elegant decor, created a welcoming vibe, ideal for both casual and special occasions. Pricing reflects quality, though the $40 caviar add-on might stretch budgets. Portions were generous, leaving us satisfied but not overwhelmed. A minor critique: the chicken noodle soup ($13) lacked depth, but this didn’t detract from the overall experience. Highly recommend for food lovers seeking a memorable meal.
