We came in on pasta night. We ordered the hot spinach dip, the Alfredo, and the fried burrata. I ordered a wine cocktail; my date ordered a wine slushy.
The wine cocktails were good, but the hot spinach dip was bland and came with three small pieces of bread to be split between two people. The fried burrata was cold in the middle. The bread on the side was good and the marinara sauce was okay.
The Alfredo was dripping with oil. Big pieces of garlic were thrown in and my friend said the chicken had an overpowering pepper flavor.
We payed almost $80 in total and didn’t finish our food.
We chose to eat at the bar and received full attention by a friendly server and the owner. They helped us through the menu since I am vegan and we figured it out with some suggestions, placing our order while trying some wine. Everything was delicious and we got a homemade dessert that was perfect.
We made some suggestions to the menu and felt they would be considered. It’s great to have a place like this nearby and we look forward to coming back in a while to see how they evolve and adjust to the market/clientele.
The staff here is extraordinarily friendly and accommodating to people with food allergies. I have never once felt uncomfortable when ordering or explaining my dietary restrictions. The Tipsy Tomato staff is always sympathetic and eager to help make sure my meal is 100% gluten-free.
While Tipsy Tomato is not dedicated gluten-free, I can confirm they take the highest care possible in their kitchen to ensure patrons are not contaminated by cross-contamination. As a highly symptomatic celiac, I have eaten here dozens of times with zero reaction. I cannot say the same for other restaurants in Cleveland.
Tipsy Tomato prepares some of the most fresh and tasty food in this area. They have a wonderful selection of GF sandwiches, salads, and flatbreads. I love their potato salad as a side. Their flat bread dough is very good, but I’m partial to their sandwiches! Especially the Godfather and the Bear.
They also have an awesome selection of local wine and mead. Ask for Kelsi!
