Really great! Cute space, a little cramped but manageable, noisy when the restaurant is full + pretty loud music [Tame Impala, Arctic Monkeys, Spoon?! brought me back to the mid 2010s ahh 🙂 ] but I’m happy when any new-ish restaurant is getting good business, especially when it’s well deserved.

We (3 very hungry people) ordered a lot of food and it was all good to delicious, especially the fennel salad (sharp and refreshing), bison tartare, yellowtail (slaps you across the face with some great acidity and you’ll thank it for it), and grandma’s bolo. This place really takes advantage of how delicious acidity can be.

It did take quite a long time for each wave of food to come out, so when the hot apps and mains arrived an hour and a half after ordering we were already a little full, but they were yummy enough to reinvigorate the palate. Even got some comped food delivered by chef himself! Very nice, very appreciated~

After all that food we still ordered dessert (horchata ice cream, very velvety and mousse like with some puffed rice on top, kinda a cold bowl of cereal if you think about it), so you know we had a good time.

Staff is great too! Everyone was very friendly, patient, and attentive. Just wanted to shout out our waitress Obrianna who was WONDERFUL! So personable, checked in on us a lot, and had a great vibe. Much appreciated Obrianna!! :))))

Overall, very recommended! Maybe on a midweek day it would be a little calmer, food might come out a little faster, ambience may be a little more manageable, but the food and staff make it worth it whenever.

An amazing new addition to the West Village dining scene. Michelin-star quality food with remarkable complexity, depth, and execution, yet offered at neighborhood-friendly prices. The chic, modern dining room strikes the perfect balance of style and comfort, ideal for a dinner with friends or a cozy date night. A thoughtfully curated beverage list, layered with character and range, adds another compelling reason to visit Arvine. The West Village is truly lucky to welcome this gem.

Must Try Dishes:

– Fennel Salad – A refreshing start with multiple layers of flavor and texture. Bright, balanced, and beautifully composed — the perfect way to begin your meal.

– Bison Tartare – Hands down one of the best tartares in NYC. The touch of Calabrian chili adds just the right umami and gentle heat, while the house-made grilled focaccia perfectly complements the dish. Packed with bold flavors and satisfying textures.

-Gramma’s Bolo – Chef Joe Anthony reimagines comforting, home-style cooking at its highest level. The dish honors traditional flavors and techniques, yet his modern interpretation and precise execution take it to new heights. The addition of Picholine olives brings an unexpected but wonderful layer of flavor and texture.

Can’t wait to go back and explore more dishes — Arvine is easily one of the most exciting new openings in NYC right now.

Located near the “ crossroads “ of the West Village, this small restaurant is true gem for anyone visiting the area.

The dishes we tried are fun and exquisite. From the Hippie Cesar Salad (with yummy avocado cream buried underneath), to the perfectly fried yet light as a cloud Ricotta Gnudi and their crispy and juicy whole wheat fried Chicken, nothing disappoints.

We heard this restaurant was recently opened and is still somewhat “under the radar “. But it was filled with people shortly after we got there. A very good sign! Will definitely go there again when we return.

Incredible food and overall dining experience. The flavors were vibrant and balanced; a thoughtful, playful twist on traditional cuisine. The pickled fennel salad was bright and refreshing, the pappardelle was rich and a great portion, and the bass was beautifully executed. Don’t forget the house made focaccia which paired beautifully with the grass fed bison tartare. The wine list was excellent, even for someone who isn’t a sommelier. Excited to come back soon and make this a regular spot.

Fantastic food and hospitality!! Each dish was very delicious and had very different flavor profiles. My favs were the Spicy Bison Tartare, Diver Scallops, the Grandma’s Bolo, and everyone I talked to loved the pork chop a lot. Need to come back for that! Do not sleep on the bread – it is truly one of the best I have had!! The staff were also so friendly. So excited for Chef Joe Anthony!

Overall it’s a clean and elegant dinning experience. The flavors are wonderful and complement each other insanely well. Overall favorite was definitely the Bison Tartare, somethings that could be better is the garlic Knot (honestly not worth the price) and the horchata ice cream (great ice cream but the crunchy toppings overpower the whole thing)
Great experience overall but I do believe for the price there are many better options.

We had a great dinner — everything was fantastic! We tried the bison tartare, fish crudo, and Grammas Bono, all delicious and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was lovely, the service friendly, and the restroom was clean, always a good sign.

The only disappointing part was the water situation. We started with tap water and later asked for sparkling. They brought the same bottle, not sealed, so we assumed they just carbonated tap water in-house and it was complimentary. But then we saw an $8 charge on the bill. That felt unpleasant, either bring a sealed bottle of sparkling water or don’t charge for house-carbonated tap water.

Also, the music playlist was a bit odd, it didn’t quite match the vibe of the restaurant. Still, everything was tasty, and we’d definitely come back again.

Love this new West Village/Greenwich area gem. Everything we’ve tried has been excellent and delicious with just the right twist/enhancement. I’ve been back a few times already and everything from friendly service to the well executed dishes just makes it easy to do so. Must try dishes IMHO: Bison Tartare (even a non-tartare lover like me thought this was unlike other tartare, esp the texture and flavor), kombu baked scallops (divine!), little neck clams (great portion and super meaty), Kingfish is often the neck/collar which is the best and the sesame flatbread that comes with is so good I wish they sold it a la carte as well.
