Frito Misto was on point–really good. Brussel sprouts were a total skip (tiny portion and soggy with no flavor).
My wife had Ceasars salad and Hamachi Crudo. Both good (but nothing had to be cooked). My friend’s wife got a cheese pasta dish she liked but had to ask for salt because it was under seasoned.
My buddy and I got the Halibut special. It came out sooo over cooked it was not edible on both plates; so dry. We had to flag down a bus boy to send them back because the server never came back to make sure everything was okay. They brought back 2 new plates that were still overcooked, just not grossly overcooked like before.
Every glass on our table (water and wine) was empty for 15-20 minutes. Nobody ever asked if we wanted more water or wine. Again we had to flag down someone and ask for service.
This was my birthday dinner.
So no, we dont want dessert or another $100 bottle of wine after the cooks screwed up our meal and the server failed to serve us properly. She asked if I was still “working” on my meal? My plate was so obnoxious, it DID feel like work. At nicer restaurants they usually ask if you are still “enjoying” your food. It was a small piece of fish with average mash potatoes and 6 giant asparagus spears on top of everything which was super off putting. It was not an asparagus dish.
If you go here, maybe shy away from things they have to cook other than pasta.
Update: Came here for my birthday, and the octopus salad, scampi spaghetti & seafood risotto were just as good if not better! I grew up with superb cooks on Italian side of my family (Bologna area & Dalmatia) and family made olive oil & wine, so it takes a lot to impress me.
