GREAT small town bar! The staff is amazing, the drinks are even better. Must try a “Wade’s” Bloody Mary!!Always a fun atmosphere . Historical building. Have to check out the twisted chimney upstairs!! Definitely worth the drive to Oskaloosa!!

Staying in Oskaloosa for a couple of nights for work and really glad I popped into the Rock Island Tap for a beer (OK, two) after dinner. Tip and Paige are great hosts – friendly and very knowledgeable about their extensive beer menu. Some bars aren’t very “old guy friendly,” but this one had a very good mix of patrons and this old patron felt right at home – especially enjoyed the retro Hamm’s beer signs on the wall…!

An awesome end to a road trip spent touring railroad museums in Illinois and Iowa. Built in the restored Rock Island depot in Oskaloosa, the place is like an oasis (especially for a railroad dork like me). The draft beer selection was top notch and the owner and bartenders definitely make the vibe of the place one where you’ll have a great time. In addition, the deck looked fantastic…there was a group having an awesome time while I was there. I’ll definitely be back!
