We ordered pork tacos and a quesadilla and everything was relatively tasty The pork was tender and flavorful with a nice touch of spices The tacos looked fresh and well balanced with sauce and toppings The quesadilla was simple but filling and had a nice homemade taste The service was polite and friendly our waiter brought the food quickly and checked on us a few times The atmosphere was pleasant and relaxing perfect for lunch or dinner near the beach Prices are slightly above average and portions could be a bit larger but overall it was a good experience The place feels casual and cozy with nice views and good music Not the best tacos I have ever had but definitely worth a visit if you are nearby

Ordered a mahi taco and mai tai. The food looks like was opened from a plastic bag and heated up, including the tortilla and chips…. sorry, this is Honolulu, at the very least, when you pay a high price for the taco, you expect better quality seafood… can’t compete with Japanese seafood..

My flight was scheduled to depart from gate C3, so I ended up spending time at Sammy’s Beach Bar, where I had Chicken Fingers ($22.99), and two Hendricks gin & tonics ($17.49ea). The food was fine and the service by the bartender was great. Rating: 4, despite Waikiki-level pricing.

Love the grilled chicken sandwich and the fries here. Customer service was great the first time and iffy the second. Food was still good!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sammy’s Beach Bar and Grill, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The highlight of my meal was undoubtedly the avocado tacos, which I highly recommend to anyone visiting.

The tacos were a delightful combination of flavors and textures. The soft taco shells were filled with creamy, luxurious, and velvety avocados that added a rich and satisfying texture to each bite. Topped with crumbled cheese, fresh green leaves, and a tangy red salsa, every element came together perfectly. The accompanying tortilla chips were crispy and perfect for scooping up any extra fillings.

A special shoutout to Amanda, my waitress, who made the experience even more enjoyable. Despite being incredibly busy, she managed to serve with a cool, calm demeanor and a warm smile. Her hard work and sweet nature did not go unnoticed and added a personal touch to the dining experience.

Overall, Sammy’s Beach Bar and Grill is a must-visit if you’re in terminal C at Honolulu airport, especially for those avocado tacos and the excellent service provided by Amanda. I can’t wait to return!

There are very limited options at HNL, so I get why you would still come here even when the reviews are bad, but buyer beware..

I ate here for lunch today and not only was the food mediocre at best, but not fifteen minutes after I finished my food, the waitress kicked me out of the restaurant. She claimed that I couldn’t “just sit there” unless I was going to order something else, a claim she made when there were at least 15 open tables all around me. It was incredibly rude, especially because she did not ask if I would like to order something else, but insisted I leave before even asking. Bad service, bad food, bad experience.

I was surprised. Really good for airport food. I wish I remembered our server’s name, but she was really nice and a pro. She had 3 customers when we got there but by the time we left, it seemed like she was managing a dozen tables. My sister had the fish tacos (amazing) and I had the chicken club, which was delicious. Give it a try in you’re near gate C2

When your airline’s lounge club is closed for construction… u end up eating at any place that’s open.
Airport food is not known for good food. But u eat what u can get and Sammy’s was the only stidown restaurant open at our late flight back home. My noodles dish was just OK but their best dish is probably the puller pork sandwich sliders and that was actually decent
Service was polite and friendly. Shout out to Filipino Hawaiians, they’re always nice hard working people

This is a convenient bar to have a few beers before you take your plane, good service, good beer selection and good customer service depending on the time of day. I didn’t try the food, but the place is clean and good environment .
