This is by far the best sushi place! I haven’t had this great of sushi in Elko before. The hostess was so sweet and she even brought the food outside to me(ordered takeout out). Everyone inside is so friendly and had smiles! I moved from Reno and coming here has been a night and day difference- from food to how businesses treat their customers. My boyfriend and I definitely will be doing our date nights here!

We’ve been coming here over the last 3years. Food is always consistent and delicious. Everything is always fresh. The staff is attentive. Thanks for the always delicious food and always great service! You guys are amazing.
Ps- I see some mentions of slow service in other reviews- they get very busy, and staff is usually maxxed out. Also, freshly made food takes time. It’s always a head scratcher to me when people expect fast food at a sit down restaurant. If you’re in a hurry, please don’t choose a sit-down restaurant during their rush hour and then be frustrated everything isn’t instantaneous. They are humans, just like the rest of us They’re dealing with people all day long. Show a little kindness and remember your schedule doesn’t dictate theirs.

Went there a few months back and had over an hour wait time to finally get our food. I honestly thought it was a fluke training new people or something food was good. We decided to give it another shot the guy we were with got a steak we ordered sushi. He got his food and ate and after 65 minutes we paid for our drinks and and his food and left without eating they never did bring our sushi rolls. The food is okay if you don’t mind extreme wait times. I personally will not go back. The service is beyond terrible and ive been there a dozen times it’s just got worse and worse over the years

Although we had a reservation, we were asked to wait about 10 minutes for availability. Once seated, our server took our drink and food orders, but we waited nearly an hour for our sushi. During that time, we did not receive refills or check-ins unless we actively asked another staff member for assistance.
Since this was an all you can eat experience, each time we requested additional sushi, we waited an additional 40–60 minutes. When we finally asked to pay, we told our server we would like to leave a $5 tip and asked for help using the machine. However, when we reviewed the receipt, we noticed a $10 tip had been entered instead. Because this was not what we authorized, we went back to request a $5 refund, as the situation was unacceptable.
We did receive the $5 refund, which ended up being the most positive part of the entire experience as the service did not reflect that amount, and the tip entered was not what we authorized

The best sushi I have ever had in my entire life. The atmosphere was really good and open. The sushi bar was really cool too! The waiter was kind and silly with us during the night and made some amazing recommendations for us to try. All in all, hands down, a wonderful experience!!

What a terrible experience tonight. I brought my two employees and their plus one for a little Christmas party dinner and totally regret picking Himiko now. Food was ok but the service was absolutely terrible and the wait times were even worse. Many people at other tables were irritated and no one seemed to care. The food or the drinks couldn’t be brought out at the same time so everyone was sitting there watching someone eat. Absolutely ridiculous. We decided to cancel our last rolls and just leave. The owner was sitting on his laptop at the bar and never said a word or even cared when I complained about our experience. This used to be one of my favorite places to go but obviously it has gone downhill and I will never go back. Now that I see the other reviews it looks like everyone has the same thing to say about it.
To the owner on the laptop take some damn pride in your business and do something about it or give up and move on. PERIOD!!!!

We came in as a party of 6. We had a reservation but arrived early to have a drink at the bar. It took close to 20 minutes to receive a drink. My husband asked if there was a bartender but were told in a rude way that they are extremely busy. We did get to our table at the time of our reservation. When we were walked to the dining area, they weren’t busy at all. Our waitress (Justina) was rude when we were ordering. When she brought our plates, she would throw the plates down and even almost spilled one of our drinks. All of our plates came at different times so none of us ate at the same time. It took forever to get drinks filled. I took a drink of my drink and felt something in my mouth and pulled a small peice of glass out of my mouth. We showed the waitress and she didn’t care and only offered to comp that drink and don’t offer me a new drink. We ordered more rolls but ended up canceling them because we sat for almost an hour waiting for them. Other tables were upset as well and we got up and left. As we were asking the bar why everything took so long and informed them we were upset, the owner sat right next to us on his laptop and didn’t even say a word. Complete disappointment and will never return.
