The best hidden gem! Met friends here for dinner and had the private tatami room. Service was EXCELLENT! They were informative on selection and helped with options. Always there to refill our drinks and the sushi was fabulous!

No explanation needed. I love sitting at the sushi bar, enjoying fresh fish and the chef’s company. The fish is always fresh, and my favorite dish from the kitchen is the uni chawanmushi—an absolute must-have.
Parking is convenient and secure. The restaurant is always busy, so reservations are highly recommended.

Best Japanese restaurant I have ever experienced at Honolulu, fresh sashimi and Uni. Cold snow crab is the best one. We will definitely visit this one when we come back to Hawaii. Also, great service!

Love this restaurant! Everything was absolutely delicious and the sushi was incredibly fresh. The chef was so thoughtful—he found out I’m pregnant and created a special omakase just for me. Such a wonderful experience!

Chawanmushi with uni and the grilled oyster bomb were great.
The sushi was average — the rice was a bit firm.

Food came out really fast. Uni butter egg yolk is a must try. Also tried the Uni steamed egg which was also really good. Prices are reasonable and food is fresh! Parked on the side of the street in front of restaurant.

I had an enjoyable dinner here, though it was a mix of hits and misses. My friends raved about the wagyu foie gras nigiri, while I quietly savored the fresh, sweet snow crab. The grilled hamachi neck was decent, and the ox tongue was solid as well. The truffle butter uni rice provided a comforting finish to the meal. I also tried a few nigiri sushi, the fish was fresh. The service was friendly, which added to the overall pleasant experience.

We walk-in on Friday night with no waiting. The seafood is fresh, after eating sushi sho from ritz Carlton. I feel like the freshness on the sashimi is not much different. We are 2 people with small appetite, to get full, our final bill is $200 total. The only bad side is, they don’t have customized tips option, you can only give no tips or at least 18% tips. (This is my first time seeing that).

I’ve been here twice. Once before covid and last night. Lol.
One of many izakayas in Hawaii, but slightly different from others. I don’t recall seeing skewers on the menu, but has a good variety of sushi. I had many types but my favorite from this place are uni shiso ebi sushi, foie gras daikon Kinki sushi, stingray with mayo, crab croquettes, and of course the chicken kaarage. My friends really enjoy the shoyu uni egg and rice bowl. Also, the chutoro sushi was so delicious.
I heard from the server that usually people cancel last minute so they have quite a bit of space for walk ins. Because of that, we upgraded to the 8 person room and could stay for 3.5 hours.
The servers are friendly, nice, and very helpful. We joked and had a nice conversation.
The overall atmosphere is very chill, relaxing. Very enjoyable experience to be in.

We tried their Sashimi set for $40+. It was good and fresh, but not mind-blowing. Uni truffle egg yolk was very tasty (which is also what most people recommend). Uni shiso cucumber was great too. Our waiter Daniel was amazing. Grill Unagi was ok.
We had a reservation and arrived on time. To avoid any potential problems consider making a reservation and arrive ON TIME (some other reviews mentioned reservation not honored if arriving too late)
