The value for the money is excellent. All of the servings are generous – the “small” sandwich is more than what you get on large plates elsewhere. Both the brisket and the pork are delicious. All of the sides were fresh and tasty. We got the chocolate cake and banana pudding to go. They were fantastic as well.

After riding our bikes on FATS, we decided to check out this place. We were so glad that we did! The restaurant is quite country-cozy with friendly Connie making us feel very welcome. Our brisket sandwich and pulled pork sandwich were delicious and generous.

We stopped in here recently on a road trip and had a great meal. Our server (the owners mother) was very hospitable and informative about the menu and history of the restaurant. Her recommendations were spot on as well. Our party had brisket, BBQ (pulled pork), hamburger, BBQ chicken, potato salad, fries, onion rings, Mac n cheese and collards. Everything was very good, but the chicken was the best we have ever had and we love BBQ. The meat was cooked perfectly to allow the smoke and seasoning to be tasted in every bite. We would go out of our way to eat here again.

As we were traveling back home from South Carolina, we dined at Patriots’ Smokehouse. This restaurant has so much to offer: cleanliness, an inviting atmosphere, hospitality, and delicious food. We purchased four large pork plates with sides, and everything was hot, fresh, plenty, and delicious. We especially appreciated the friendliness of the family who works together at this restaurant, and they were especially grateful that we paid in cash! My dad is the most excellent grill master, and our pork tasted like he could have smoked them! We also enjoyed the four different barbecue sauces that were offered, and they all tasted perfectly seasoned.
Ultimately, we felt like our food was well worth waiting for. It did take some time to be served, but we felt like our waitress did her best to keep our thirst quenched and checked repeatedly on our order. Also, we noticed and appreciated the employees’ attention to the songs being played at the restaurant. One particular song, “Highway to Hell”, is always offensive to us, and it was skipped within seconds of it playing. Clark’s Hill is blessed to have such a fine restaurant in their city!

I took a chance and drove a little off course to try this place out. I’m glad I did. The food was very good. Everyone working was very friendly. Nice smoke ring on the brisket. Good smoke flavor on the pulled pork. Nice hot fresh hand cut French fries. Good southern sweet tea.

Fantastic family owned bbq restaurant. Party of 14, they made us all feel at home. Food was wonderful, everyone liked their entree and left full and happy. And the secret is the fries – they might be the best we’ve had in the entire Southeast. Great place!
