This is easily my favorite place in Worcester. The beer is amazing (you have to try the Blood Orange), and I can’t stop thinking about the smash burger and buffalo chicken dip. The staff is super friendly. The bartender greeted us right when we walked in and our waitress was awesome, helping us pick beers and pointing out the most popular food.
They’ve also got great weekly specials. They have $6 smash burgers on Wednesdays and 50 cent wings on Tuesdays, so I’m already planning my next visit.
If you’re thinking about checking out Bay State, just do it. You’ll be glad you did.

What an awesome first impression. The service with a smile was the most noticeable thing I will remember. A perfect personality for parties like our crazy 8.
Make it a must. FUN place, good people. EXCELLENT food. And HOCKEY in the same building with TONS of available parking.
This place met my expectations completely. Great food, variety of seating style, kind of like a warehouse feel, but not too open. Plenty spacious.

The blood orange lager is one of the best beers I’ve ever had. Service is always great, there is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, the food menu is A+, and located within walking distance to Polar Park, Crompton Collective, etc. They are attached to the ice rink so use their private parking lot, or park on a surrounding street. Truly a gem of Worcester.

I hear the beer is fantastic (we did not drink tonight) and I found the bartender to have exceptional customer service skills, but I would strongly advise you never eat the food here. I was actually impressed by how terrible the fries were, that the salmon was both overcooked and smelled rotten and even the pickles were terrible. Definitely worth skipping.

Mixed reviews today… 40+ mins for a pizza that they still messed up. They gave mine to someone else or made it wrong (twice) 20 mins after my wife got her dinner. I complained, and they took it off the bill, but still. My wife loved her charcuterie board as always, with the exception of the hard as a rock piece of bread. A disappointment just the same as the pizza delivery people looked clueless. It was tough to get the bartender to pay attention to us at the bar. None of my regular beers were on tap either and had to buy the cans.

This beer absolutely hits the spot. The Madam Rhubarb comes as advertised and is flawless. The King Midas Golden stout is also exceptional. Unfortunately, the lunchtime rush hurts the overall experience as there is only 1 bartender slinging drinks for this full bar on a Sunday.

The best brewery in Worcester! Can’t get enough of the blood orange beer or Kelley likes the smell. Located in the bottom floor of the ice rink. Order the chicken wings or pizza, actually order both because they are phenomenal! The kitchen here cranks out some seriously delicious food. Only regulars know the stairs lead to the upstairs room that overlooks the ice rink! Make sure you check it out next time you’re there.

My husband and I went last week before a WooSox game. The place was crowded but we got one of the last tables. There was good live music but it was a little too loud for trying to have a any kind of conversation, and that was at the farthest corner away from the sound. Service with quick and friendly. The beers were decent and so was the food. I wasn’t blown away or anything but I would go back and try more beer and more menu items. All-in-all I would rate this place a solid choice for a night out or at least a stop in your night!
