Normally, I use the drive-thru, and I want to be very clear about this: the young employees who work there are always extremely polite, attentive, and respectful. Both the young men and a young woman with black hair and light-colored eyes are consistently wonderful. Overall, the staff has always provided great customer service, which is why this experience stood out so much.
On this particular day, I had to go inside because I needed to use the restroom, and I decided to eat inside with my son. While I was waiting at the counter to place my order, one of the drive-thru employees kindly came over to help me and started taking my order.
At that moment, a woman named Mayra or María (I believe she is a manager, though I’m not entirely sure of her position) reacted in an extremely rude and unprofessional way. She aggressively scolded the employee in front of me and other customers for helping me, saying it was not his job. Her tone and language were very disrespectful and vulgar.
Because she pulled him away mid-order, my order was left unfinished, and I was left waiting for more than two minutes. She then came over to take my order with a very bad attitude, assuming I already knew the full order when it was clearly incomplete. When she charged me, the price was incorrect because she added a Dr. Pepper that I never ordered, which I calmly corrected.
At that point, the situation had already made me uncomfortable, as no customer should be forced to witness an employee being mistreated like that. I went to sit down to wait for my food, and from the dining area, I could clearly hear her speaking badly about me in Spanish, using vulgar language and making inappropriate comments about me as a customer, loud enough for others to hear.
I approached her and told her that everyone in the dining area could hear the disrespectful things she was saying about a customer, and I asked who I could speak to in order to file a complaint. Her response was, “I am the manager.” If that is the case, then the behavior I witnessed leaves a lot to be desired.
In summary, if this review reaches the franchise owner or a supervisor above this woman (again, her name was Mayra or María), I sincerely hope action is taken. Her vulgarity and lack of professionalism are damaging the image of a McDonald’s location that has always been known for friendly and respectful service.
This experience was completely unacceptable.
Very difficult to recommend anymore as a fast stop for coffee, sweets, let alone meal due to slow food prep times and cost.
Also not even worth leaving a review here because they just forward u to a link that means nothing. Take ur business somewhere else that cares.
