I’ve been a customer of this business for more than 25 years. I had my first crabcake and flounder at one of the other locations. I think most people would agree that the thing they like best about going to a favorite restaurant is consistency. People want to count on their most favorite menu item never changing and that the taste, smell, texture and feeling they get when they have it never disappoints. In a nutshell… that is Bobby Chez. Not once in all of the years that I’ve gone there have I been disappointed.
The food quality and presentation makes you want to order one of everything. Don’t pass up the crab cakes and definitely don’t pass on the coconut shrimp if available. Today I was greeted by a friendly and professional young man. Your order is promptly flash fried and away you go with a handle bag along with a sheet of reheating instructions. This is definitely high end dining with the most delicious seafood. There is no waiter, drink order or dessert and tip. They make it affordable to eat out but at your own dining room table! Just one suggestion….please open a Mays Landing location!
Be sure to check out my photos. Those lumps of crab are real! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Bobby Chez is the best place to get seafood in the Williamstown/Washington Twp area. We’ve been going for years and never had less than excellent food. They semi-cook it for you so all you have to do is finish it up when you get home and it’s piping hot out of the oven. I think the longest anything takes is 15 mins. They will also cook things all the way for you. Tonight we had the jumbo lump crab cakes, fried clam strips & baked mac and cheese. Awesome! They also have scallops, shrimp, oysters, etc as well as chicken items. They have many cold salad/antipasto dishes too. If you haven’t been here you need to go!

This place is very dangerous and way too close to home. I’ve been there three or four times already and I have to say everything I’ve gotten has been absolutely amazing. The crab cakes, the stuffed shrimp, the fried oysters, the potato salad the garlic mashed potatoes marinated mushrooms. A little bit pricey but worth every penny

I ordered stuffed shrimp and got fried . Unfortunately I was not a fan of the regular shrimp. They appeared to be hammered to thin which make them dried out when frying

I ordered 2 crab cakes and they didn’t supply cocktail or tarter sauce. I called an asked I was told It would cost me !! Great food, but will never again order from there. Order from Grabbees in Westville.

I went in to order spoke to Veronica, she said can I help you with attitude, I said I want to get a crab cake platter and a single jumbo shrimp. Payed for order. Asked for cocktail & cocktail sauce for shrimp. She said it will cost .50 for additional 1 oz sauce for $6 dollar shrimp. I asked for ketchup for my fries she stated they don’t have any. So mind you if I didn’t purchase sauce for shrimp I would have to eat dry, bad enough fries were dry. So I called Cherry Hill and First Lady said i should definitely get a sauce with shrimp complimentary but then after speaking to Veronica she said no it’s 50 cents, so probably the one in Cherry Hill doesn’t charge for sauce. But then the person from Cherry Hill said the owner wants is to be charged. Then I get home to eat my crab cake which I been going to Bobby Chez for over 20 yrs. and crab cakes where amazing but I must say today the recipe has changed and flavor is not the same on inside. Very very disappointed. My Aunt always orders for shipment to California for crab cakes a case twice a year. Will have to let her know stop ordering for a company that does not honor loyal customers or new customers. And friends & family locally that did enjoy. At least with sauces they should let customers know that they do not have ketchup and if you do get a platter you are only entitled to one pack of ketchup. And if you don’t get a platter and order single items you will be charged for 1 ounce sauces!!! Ridiculous. Because if they put a sign informing you that you have to pay for sauce for single items people probably would not order single items. They only have a sign posted that additional sauces are .50 and it’s additional sauce for platters not single items because you don’t get any sauce. For the price it’s better to go to a seafood place and sit down enjoy your meal instead of doing this fast food take out. Bobby Chez food is not like it was Sad very sad and I don’t see that they honor or try to keep loyal customers so with that being said, have a nice life,
And hope you improve your crab cakes and get them back on point, you can say recipe hasn’t changed or cook but either or or both has changed
Would love to be your customer again if you take this note and get back to original recipe and give people complimentary sauces for single items at least 2 ounces size instead of 1 ounce

I ordered 6 mini crab cakes today and they tasted fishy. This is the first time I was not satisfied with my food there. I won’t be going back.

I walked in last Saturday but there was a cash only sign up. That’s unfortunate because I don’t walk around with a lot of cash on me. Walked out.
I think it is worthy of a one star review. The lines were long so you should make that more clear to the customers. Maybe put a rope up with a sign – this line is for credit, this line is for cash. You make enough money for what you charge. I think you can afford it.
