I LOVE BURLS BREAKFAST!!! It is the only place I can find that can make a pancake and get it out to your table while it’s still hot. And the flavor is perfect. They have perfected the art of the basted egg, and if you don’t know what that is, Google it. It is the only way to eat eggs. They have a decent lunch menu with pork tenderloins that keep getting bigger every time I see them. But I pretty much stick to breakfast. It’s the most important meal of the day. They close at 2 pm so hurry on in.

My boyfriend and I were in Decorah camping and looking for a diner to have breakfast at on our way out of town and google pointed us to this place. This restaurant is probably the most disgusting place I have ever ate. They gave me a water with a dead fly in it. When I brought the water up to the front counter, the lady said “oh…” dumped the water out and gave me a new one from the faucet. My appetite was instantly lost, which is good because the American fries I ordered as a side where not cooked and still hard. When I sat down I heard her joking with the other waitress saying, “Anyone want any added protein?”… Then later I heard cooks from the kitchen talking about the 5 second rule. The waitresses then were up at the bar counter stating, “This place is disgusting.. I do not eat anything from here anymore. They barely wash the dishes in the back” I am not making this up… It was TERRIBLE! Do NOT waste your money. I did not even get a discount for the “added protein” in my water. GO ELSEWHERE.

My daughter and I stopped in on the way back to Minnesota. I ordered a grilled ham and cheese. She ordered the Indian Special. The order was incorrectly billed and the food was average at best.
