Great quality food! I’ve been a couple times now and tried some of the sandwiches and sides, they were amazing! Definitely wish fresh fries were still an option, brew fries just aren’t my thing. The new rendition of the “Stargell” is good but nothing like it was. I’ve kept in mind it’s different owners and better quality food and I’ve tried original food that they’ve brought in and the renditions they’ve made on previous items, I’d say it’s definitely a restaurant to keep going back to!

if i could give the food zero stars i would. it took about 10min for us to be acknowledged we were not given menus when we sat down so we had to wait longer for someone to come back with those. we sat in the bar area because it was packed (don’t know why considering it’s not that great there) the bar area is super tight and you barely have room to move when you are sat down. ordered drinks and wanted coke the waitress did not tell us they only have pepsi products and just brought out a pepsi instead. fine i’ll drink a pepsi but it would’ve been nice for them to say sorry we only have pepsi. i got the saucy chicken mac n cheese and it was… just not restaurant food. i could’ve made better at home. the noodles were basically plain noodles with milk? and melted shredded cheese over a portion of them. the chicken was super dry and you barely get any on it for the price your paying. my friend got a smash burger and had to pay an extra dollar for 2 jalapeños to be added and it was super dry and you could get a better burger from wendy’s. the amount of fries you get on the side of your entree was laughable and they were very very seasoned tasted like straight onion powder or something. we waited for almost an hour to get our food which she did come check in on us and let us know it’d be awhile which is fine but the wait was not worth the food. overall would not return

We were excited to try the new restaurant in town and visited with friends that were visiting from North Carolina. I don’t think I’ll ever return! We went with the perspective that they recently opened, but with that in mind I would think they would want to impress people to keep them coming back.
We ordered:
Crabby Dip: We enjoyed this, however it came out only minutes before our meal and we were given 4 obviously dirty plates. When the waitress came back we told her the plates were given to use dirty, she responded with a slight noise and nothing more as she took them and walked away.
BBQ Pork Chop with Green Beans and Mashed Potatoes: This was by far the worst plate of food overall I have ever gotten in my life. While the pork chop was juicy with an okay flavor, the mashed potatoes were inedible. The smell alone was terrible, they smelled and tasted like rotten potatoes. There were strange hard bits in them as if they had been reheated over and over. The green beans were okay, it would have been more presentable if the steams had been removed. Its the next day and I still cant get the smell of those rotten potatoes out of my head! (Second Photo)
The Willie Stargell: This sandwich is okay, but in no way reminiscent of Haywood’s sandwich… not even close to comparable, shameful really. (First Photo)
Cheesesteak: Was ordered as a beef but came as chicken, we were short on time and had waited long enough and didn’t ask for it to be corrected.
Ribs: Had an okay flavor, really great value. The ribs were only a dollar more than the tiny cup of crab dip!
I would strongly recommend work on plating as everything looked just thrown on the plate in a haphazard way.
I hope they find their footing, this place won’t be around long which is too bad as Haywoods has been a Muncy staple for many years!

Stopped in for lunch. New interior looks great! Staff seemed happy to see us and seated us promptly. You could tell at the first bite of my burger that it was fresh and cooked to my liking. The fries were hot, crispy, perfectly done. Checked on us twice for satisfaction of food!
Very good all around.

The food was good. The staff was great. The menu was a bit limited. We think they are a bit stingy on the fries. By comparison Haywood’s was a bit overkill on the fries.

Discovering Water Street Tavern: A Hidden Gem Worth Visiting.
What truly sets Water Street Tavern apart is its team-driven approach to service. From the moment you walk through the door, you’re greeted with genuine warmth and attention. It’s clear that every staff member plays a role in creating a welcoming experience, and that kind of effort doesn’t go unnoticed.
The food? Consistently delicious. Each dish reflects attention to detail and a commitment to quality. Whether you’re indulging in a hearty entrée or enjoying a lighter bite with a drink, the flavors speak for themselves. It’s the kind of menu that feels both comforting and thoughtfully crafted.
As Water Street Tavern continues to grow, I’m excited to see how they build their brand and presence in the area. With their strong foundation of great food, exceptional service, and inviting atmosphere, they’re well on their way to becoming a local favorite.
Bottom line: If you haven’t visited yet, make it a priority. Water Street Tavern isn’t just a place to eat—it’s an experience worth savoring.
