Ordered online at the Oakland and Locust location in Milwaukee as I was on my way from my 5th of 7 appts today in the midst of my daughter getting a long awaited kidney transplant in another state. Unfortunately for me, I did not check my order before leaving and did not sit down to eat my food until 3 hrs later. Haven’t eaten all day and now I have no dinner on hand as well. Here’s to eating a vowl.of cereal amd calling it a day, or night, in my case.

I’ve always said Jersey Mikes would be better if they had French fries. Turns out some smart got this idea at Cousins Subs. In MN no sub places I have eaten at ever have fries always chips so I was overly excited to eat here. Plus it was recommended as a go to spot while in Milwaukee.

Service was good while in store, it was during the lunch hour so prime time to go. However the sandwich was seriously lacking in the meat department. Barely filled like in the picture it’s so empty you can’t even see the meat. Fries were good but sandwich was underwhelming.

Stood at the counter while 3 workers ignored me and periodically glanced at me. Then the manager came around the corner and ignored me too. The order itself was well made. I like cousins but won’t be coming back to this one.

GO TO ANY OTHER COUSINS!!! I am what you would call a Cousins fanatic. I eat at the chain once if not several times a week. It’s my favorite sub restaurant in the Milwaukee area. With all that being said, this location consistently produces the longest wait times, the most incorrect orders, the least fresh ingredients, the least helpful employees, and half the time there is a homeless person inside. If I could rate this location, a zero I would. It’s a shame because I can walk to this location, but I choose to drive 15 minutes to Glendale to get both a quality sandwich and experience. Again, go to any other location.

GIVE KELAN THE MANAGER A RAISE!!! Every time I go in I am impressed with his work ethic and his customer service. Everyone here is always friendly but I am just always super impressed with this young man. I told him one day “They should make YOU the manager!” He smiled and said “I am”. Just got home to eat my sub and this is what it looked like. Because they failed to do their job and wrap the sandwich properly the newspaper stuck to the cheese and I had to dissect it to eat it.

It’s been awhile since I was in Cousins. While it’s very different in the new store, it still has a Cousins atmosphere. Service was great. The food was familiar.

I ordered curds, which are solid and tasty. They are probably the best I’ve had at a restaurant so far. I also got my perennial meatballs, but as a bowl, not a sub. I will probably go back to the sub version next time because meatballs don’t mix the best with greens (my choice) and I would have mixed the ingredients differently. It was an experiment that fizzled. But the food tasted good, regardless.

Disappointing Visit to Cousin Subs

I recently visited Cousin Subs, and I must say that my experience left me quite disappointed. I had high hopes for a satisfying meal, but unfortunately, the overall experience fell short of my expectations.

First and foremost, the service was not up to par. The staff seemed disinterested and inattentive, which made the ordering process far from pleasant. It took longer than expected to place my order, and I felt like an inconvenience rather than a valued customer.

Now, onto the food. I ordered their signature sub, and I was underwhelmed. The sandwich lacked the freshness and flavor that I had anticipated. The bread was dry and seemed stale, and the ingredients didn’t taste as if they were of high quality. It was evident that the sub had been hastily put together, leaving me unsatisfied.

Another issue was the cleanliness of the establishment. The dining area could have used a good cleaning, and the tables were not well-maintained. It gave off an impression of neglect, which further dampened the dining experience.

I believe that every restaurant deserves a fair chance to improve, so I hope Cousin Subs takes this feedback constructively. Improving the quality of their food and service, as well as maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, would go a long way in ensuring that customers have a more positive experience in the future.

In conclusion, my visit to Cousin Subs was not a pleasant one. I sincerely hope they take steps to address these issues and provide a better experience for their customers.
