Been hesitant to order from here for years, and now I see why. I ordered the chicken. It was absolutely disgusting, black on the inside, and tasted old, like it had been cooked previously. The ranch was so thick, like sour cream. I was scared to try it. Was it old or spoiled? I’m not sure. This place should be ashamed of itself. If I get sick I know who to sue

Thank goodness the wings were decent, because whew, where do I start? It took 30 minutes to get waited on, then 30 minutes for the food, we watched almost the entire Lean On Me movie during our visit. The restaurant was dirty, and the restrooms were even worse. Most likely will not return here, mostly because of the time it took.

I placed my order and was told that it would be ready in 15 minutes. I made it early just because of the fact that I was right around the corner. When I got there,I ended up paying $20 bucks. They then took almost 30 minutes to hand me my order stating over and over again that it was almost done. And finally, I waited all of the time for hard fries and cold wings. Do not recommend at all

Before I share my negative experience, I’ll lead with the positive… The food is actually pretty good. I’ve had fried catfish, boneless wings, and whole wings. The gentleman I dealt with was respectful and the young man in front was green (not knowing much of anything) but respectful as well. They do have something to build if they ever start to care enough about the business itself. And by the way, this review is after 3 visit attempts.
Now with that being said, everything else about the place sucks! All the chairs have holes, rips, or tears in them, the tables look like something from a 1950’s flea market. In the dinning area, They have 2 look like 25 year old vending machines right by the counter and door in the restaurant. Why? Sell snacks over the counter. The TV was playing some Islamic concert and some random news channel that was on repeat. The interior of the place is outdated and old looking; everything from the floors to the walls to the countertops. An absolute disgrace for a public restaurant. The place reeked of the smell of weed; it was so strong I started to think they were smoking right in the kitchen. Which by the way the cook always looks high, with his eyes glossy and slurring his words. Just looking over the counter in the kitchen, it was a filthy mess worthy of an FDA shutdown. Wait time… I waited my last visit in the dining-in area at a table for 1 hour and 30 minutes for 30 boneless wings, and 5 whole wings, and a tray of fries. About an hour into it he asked me to confirm my order. When I asked him why was something wrong, he said he just wanted to make sure they were getting it right. During my wait, I watched 2 people walk out and a 3rd place an online order that they claimed they never received. I asked the young man at the counter who his manager was and looked me right in my face with a smile telling me he didn’t know. So I said, “you don’t know who you work for”, and he said nope.
So… due to inconsistencies, restaurant conditions and cleanliness, wait time, lying to my face, poor service, the smell, and so many other things…
I DO NOT RECOMMEND SUPPORTING THIS BUSINESS for your catering needs nor your lunch/dinner needs. There are plenty of other black owned or just locally owned business that are presenting themselves in better fashion with good food.

I definitely agree with most of the reviews. Service was not pleasing. It gave “ take it or leave it”. I believe if the service was better then it would help with the rest of the restaurant. My fries were hard & they have not even updated their online menu prices which caused us to spend almost $40 on a 10 pc whole.
