The cafe was very nicely set up,with a relaxing atmosphere. I ordered the Ruben sandwich and roasted broccoli soup. Food was great. The service was excellent. Will come back when in area.

We were told she was the only waitress and had many other ahead of us and it would be a 30-45 minute wait just to take our order. She was rude. The people that were sitting behind us didn’t seem all that happy either. Good thing we don’t live close by, I wouldn’t be going back.

This is an updated post. This is our 2nd visit because it’s a great little cafe. If you’re traveling on the Midland Trail, hwy 60, through W Virginia and need a place to eat stop at this cafe. Great grilled cheese and mushroom button soup. Great price on homemade bread that’s good too!

Chicken salad on the croissant was amazing. Sweet pasta salad on the side hit the spot. First time here and will definitely visit again. Clean relaxing atmosphere.

A charming bakery/cafe. A limited selection, mostly fresh baked breads and some cake/pastry choices, with a good variety of coffee drinks and flavors. There is also a sit-down café menu, which we didn’t have the chance to try, but everything we did get was homemade and excellent. We pass through Rainelle on road trips and we will be stopping at Fruits of Labor on each trip!

Lovely cafe with an amazing mission! The staff was wonderful and my food came out very quickly. It was also very reasonably priced. I enjoyed my chicken salad sandwich and soup!
