This place is the most happy little diner I’ve been to in a very long time. It made my week. Awesome potatoes with the perfect texture, nicely cooked eggs, even the toast was perfect! The muffins and pastry are amazingly classic.
This has everything you could want in a small town diner, a gorgeous outdoor space, and it’s all kept up as though it’s loved. Tickle me impressed.

Lots of options and reasonable prices. Got the veggie omelette which came with lots of toppings but could’ve been more mixed up, cheese was all in the center. Dad got pancakes and bacon also great, pancakes were huge and bacon nicely crisp. Grilled chicken for chicken wrap was ok. Service was friendly. Place was clean and a colorful diner feel. Only caution- CASH ONLY. Did not realize this, but ATM is available

Stopped in on a Thursday morning and was served by the owner, awesome service and quality food, I got Corned Beef hash with eggs and fantastic buttermilk pancakes made from scratch. This is a family owned diner that has a great family atmosphere and you can tell that the owner takes great pride in every customer he serves. Great breakfast gem for Maynard! Worth stopping if you’re in the area! Ill be back.

I have gotten to a point where I sit on a review before posting but not today. Babico’s delivers!
Service – delightful, charming, prompt. I grew up in a small town and walking into a place where I’ve never been, and being treated like I would in my home town is something I consider when selecting a restaurant.
Food – excellent, the Greek omelet (pictured) was delicious and perfectly cooked. The home fries were lightly salted which is exactly what I wanted but left it open to add salt for those who prefer more.
I’d recommend Babico’s to anyone who asked!

This is a photo of the breakfast I bought at another restaurant in Maynard that actually accepts electronic forms of payment in 2024… as every business should!
Only accepting cash is a huge inconvenience to customers, and it’s very solvable. You can charge more to CC customers or you could even accept Venmo. But cash only / expecting people to use your ATM (electronic) to then spend cash??? ABSURD!
EDIT: As of 05/19/2025 owner has responded. I would be HAPPY to come back and modify this review once the business accommodates customers born after 1990. It’s time to accept electronic forms of payment… Please & thanks.

Cash only, service staff kept stopping by several times in 5 mins interrupting our conversation if we needed anything – making us feel like we should leave when there were plenty of empty tables. Ruined the atmosphere and not welcoming.
