Wow! What a gem! Got caught in a crazy rain storm on the way down the hutch into city island…. Wanted to avoid flash flood so we pulled over and had a SPECTACULAR MEAL. SO FLAVORFUL, perfectly cooked rice, cold brews. If I’m ever in the area I will be sure to stop again with friends to come dance. Support small business 100% bartender and chef were warm. Hospitality is on point

I watched two dishes be sent back to the kitchen. One, for a whole fish being raw (undercooked) and two, for a steak having an unusual pungent odor (for which the owner described as being the type of “Seasoning” he used). In addition, the bar staff of 2 has to triple as bartender; waitress; and hookah server, which pretty much means a long wait for service. A lack of consistent business makes them very much unprepared for a larger crowd. Eat and expect good service at your own risk.

This was not a good experience at all. They didn’t have half the items on the menu and the food wasn’t hot. I ordered curry goat and rice and peas. The plate was cold and the goat was tough. The plate was so cold, the oil from the goat started to thicken. The waiter was willing to reheat it but it still came back mediocre. Then, customers came in and started smoking at the bar. It was just a unpleasant experience, I wouldn’t recommend it at all.

My first time here after seeing the pics on IG. The place was ok, only two staff sharing wait duties and bartender. We ordered the calamari, which was the smallest in size calamari ever with so much batter and the ackee spring roll, which was so greasy. Then we had the oxtail, which was good and the curry shrimp was ok but needed more gravy. The food was cold and obviously it was sitting waiting because there was not enough staff. If I wanted my drinks in a plastic cup, I would have gone to a fast food joint. Maybe it’s a new place, but they need to step up the service and pace of the orders.

I went there on a Friday night for drinks and ended up having dinner. The atmosphere was wonderful, nice settings, great music, the drinks was great too. But my waitress was the best she keeps checking upon us making sure that we was well taking care of and I greatly appreciate her for doing that. I’m sorry I didn’t get her name but I’ll be going back just because of her excellent customer service.

As I wrap up to get my check I would like to say how awful my experience was at this restaurant. Walking in it appear to be a good vibe..however I was mortified, the menu was already limited which I knew going in but when I ask for two items on the menu they informed me they were unavailable. I did finally pick my food which took forever once it came I realized I didn’t get my appetizer which the waiter/ bartender informed me she forgot to put it in as a order, and then offer me a bottle water as a substitute. I don’t recommend and will not be back.

Awesome experience!! Bartenders are amazing! I fell in love with the pepper shrimp lol.. I love this place so much I’m throwing my birthday party here.. my birthday party is coming up with them and Julie has been so professional and so amazing!! 5 star experience!!
