Chopan Kabob is hands down one of the best Afghan kabob spots around. The kabob was cooked perfectly — tender, juicy, and full of authentic flavor with that perfect char from the grill. The seasoning was on point without overpowering the natural taste of the meat.
The rice was fluffy and fragrant, the grilled tomatoes and peppers complemented everything perfectly, and the portions were generous. You can tell they take pride in keeping it traditional and high quality.Service was welcoming and the atmosphere felt warm and inviting. I was extremely disappointed with the quality of the food at this restaurant! I ordered a Qabuli and a kebab, but what I got was inedible. The meat was dry, black and definitely not fresh – it was frozen. In addition, the kebab came with rice, even though I hadn’t ordered it, and the rice wasn’t freshly cooked. I had to throw most of the food away due to the terrible quality. I don’t recommend going to this restaurant for food. The service and quality of the food are unacceptable. 0 stars.

Got the combo plate and it was amazing. The chicken was well cooked, juicy and flavorful. Not only that but the service was really good. My baby was having a hard time focusing on the meal, and the owner personally came out and was interacting with her, and talking to her. So sweet.

Lived in southern CA and the prices are so affordable for the portion you will get. I don’t usually eat chicken, but their kabob were seasoned right, succulent and tasty! Simple side lettuce salad

The best afghani food I have ever Tastes had ,so fresh and like homemade. The owners are great people, always with a smile on their faces ,so welcoming. I go here atleast once a week .I definitely crave when I go beyond that.Kebabs are moist and juicy bread and rice are great . Love their sauces the mint and the yogurt sauce . I definitely recommend this place

Unfortunately as of APRIL 1st 2025, chopan was sold to new owners, I have to say, ITS DISGUSTING. Just got the combination plate and lemme start off with the rice, undercooked, no salt, the TIKA KEBAB was cooked for WAY too long, it was rubbery and stale. The chicken was over cooked as well. I am very disappointed and saddened that the old owners left. I would NOT recommend anyone to this place now.
