I don’t know how he does it but I remember his previous place and love that I’ve discovered his new place. I only found out from a friend from Hanover. I’m visiting Virginia from Connecticut this week to see family, and my cousin recommended Dave and Phriends for lunch. I’ll start by saying I’m an extremely picky eater and rarely walk away satisfied when it comes to food quality. This place completely changed that.
I ordered the deviled eggs and a BLT. Normally, I have to ask restaurants to cook the bacon well-done, but at Dave and Phriends it came out perfectly without me saying a word. It’s like Dave read my heart and soul and made that sandwich just for me. The first thing I noticed when I opened the box was the tomato: a rich, deep red, sliced just right—not too thick, not too thin. I actually found myself saying out loud, “This is the best-looking BLT I’ve ever seen.”
And the best part? Eating it in the passenger seat of my cousin’s car, the sandwich never once fell apart. Every bite was balanced and delicious. Honestly, this BLT was so good it made me want to go back, buy a t-shirt, and tell everyone back home in Connecticut that I had the best BLT of my life here.

Best.Cheeseburger.Ever. Well… at least in a very long time. After learning today was my first visit, they happily explained their menu and highlighted customer favorites. Burgers are popular and I found out why. Amazing! Cooked perfectly to my requested “medium” temperature the loaded cheeseburger exceeded all expectations. I brought my to-go order home where my kids helped me finish it. They’re already asking me to take them to Dave & Phriends.
Great lunch stop! Next visit I’ll try the Philly Cheesesteak.

Love this place! Usually go on the weekends for breakfast, but I’ve had some of their sandwiches/subs also, their biscuits are wonderful! Restaurant is clean, staff is always friendly with a positive attitude and kitchen is quick with orders. I do wish they offered fresh fruit though. I will definitely keep coming back and I would recommend this place to everyone I know!
I’ve been stopping by more lately to get food for kayaking trips, so glad I was able to pick up some fresh cut watermelon & breakfast to go! I got a Bacon Egg and cheese on a croissant and it was BEYOND DELICIOUS!

Probably the best bacon cheeseburger you will ever stuff in your mouth & the sausage gravy is better than what grandma made, (Shh.. don’t tell!!)
If you’re looking for fancy schmancy food, keep walking… If you want real food with real taste, stop in & check them out.

Omg. Amazing burger. DEVILED EGGS! And the loaded tots WHOA!!!! I wish we didn’t live 40mins away lol! I avoided going here at first with the family, because of the small seating setup they have, theres only a few tables inside, seems more of a grab and go type place, but 3 of the 5 of us went one day for a quick bite, and wow. AMAZING. Hats off to the cook there, guy knows how to cook!
