If you’re looking for a sign to just go and get some ice cream, here it is! Black Dog Creamery has some delicious flavors to choose from. So far I have tried strawberry cheesecake, baba Oreo, and dark chocolate and they are all 10/10! Can’t wait to try more!

I absolutely love the ice cream and the staff was wonderful. I got the double scoop of BABA O’REO whitch is a 5 out of 5 on the taste. Sadly I can only give a 4 out of 5 star due to portion and price. If the portion ratio was bigger then the price would be fine. When I did order the tub was almost out but there was still plenty to make a bigger portion.
The Double scoop is priced at $7 at the time of this review.

By far the best ice cream I have ever tried!
I had gotten a pint once and told my girlfriend I would share with her, had one bite and finished the whole thing before she got there. She was not happy 🙁
The only down side is about it is you need to be prepared to lose friends and family or be forced to share your ice cream!!!

Black dog Creamery provided ice cream for a celebration for my Mom. They are so easy to work with and are so accommodating. They pre scooped the ice cream and it stayed frozen in the container they provided for the duration of the party.
The scoops are generous and the flavors are wonderful.
I would highly recommend this ice cream parlor and will definitely be back

Excellent ice cream! Passing through on our way back to Seattle stopped in for a bowl. Really delicious ice cream not overly rich or sugary just perfect. Staff and owners are very nice people. Definitely will stop here if in town again. They are in the middle of the building so when we walked up we thought the place was closed. Don’t be fooled they were open in the middle of the building.

Black Dog Creamery is AMAZING! Hands down the best ice cream around – whether it’s at their new storefront or from their trailer at our local festivals. Our kids love that all the flavors are named after rock songs—it makes choosing one so much fun (especially when I play them the song afterwards). And the ice cream is seriously delicious. You can tell they use quality ingredients, and the mix-ins are unreal. The cake pieces, for example, actually stay soft and moist instead of turning into frozen rocks like you get at other places. Yum!
What really makes Black Dog stand out though is the family who runs it. They’re so friendly and welcoming, and you can tell they really care about the community. It feels less like a business and more like visiting a neighbor who happens to make ridiculously good ice cream.
If you haven’t been yet, you’re missing out—this is the kind of local spot we need more of here in Butte!

Blackdog Creamery Ice Cream is seriously the best I’ve ever had. Since they make it all right in the shop, you know exactly what’s in it. If I had to pick a favorite, I’d say the Peach Cobbler, but honestly, I can’t pick just one. Every flavor I’ve tried has been so good that I’d eat them all again in a heartbeat. Plus, their staff has always been super friendly and courteous, which makes the whole experience even better.

Butte has always been home to businesses that stand the test of time — Pork Chop John’s, the M&M, the Derby, and so many more. I have a feeling Black Dog Creamery is well on its way to joining that list of hometown favorites. The ice cream speaks for itself, but what really sets this place apart is the people behind it. The staff and owners are as welcoming and wholesome as they come, and you can feel the love and care in everything they do.
I’m so glad I stopped by, and I know I’ll be back again and again. If you ever get the chance, make the trip — this is ice cream worth traveling for. Keep up the great work, Black Dog Creamery!
