We were skeptical to try Nico’s because we’ll, we haven’t found a steakhouse we like, but we have to say it’s one of the best steakhouses in town and it’s so close to home so even better.
We had Nick and his crew serving us and
they were top notch! True steakhouse service! Nick recommended we try the crab cakes and boy were we glad we did! so good!! I had the french onion soup and it was really good! there was soup in my soup (there’s been a few steakhouses that don’t)
Nick recommended the bone in ribeye and the wagyu filet and we both got what he recommend. Bone in ribeye was yummy (had a bite) and my filet was yummy as well. both were ordered medium and both showed up medium! wow!!! He also recommended we try this peppercorn sauce.
OMG! Orgasmic! We got some to go. I’d come back just for that sauce!
The sourdough bread was yummy along with the butter – from france he said.
the drinks were also yummy!
We were celebrating my husband’s birthday (was supposed to be 2 birthdays but just one) but they still brought out 2 desserts and omg the desserts… black forrest cake is like a dream!! We will definitely be back! Thanks to Nick and his team for a wonderful night!
We started with the tempura snow crab and it was a standout — light, crispy, and packed with flavor. Definitely recommend ordering it.
What really tied the night together was the DJ. The music selection was on point and set the vibe perfectly without overpowering the conversation. It’s not every steakhouse that nails both the food and the atmosphere, but this one does.
Looking forward to coming back.
We came here because of a restaurant comp from Durango but even after a $300 comp the total came out to $300. Pricing is high end restaurant pricing and so I held my expectations as such.
The food is mediocre at best, creamed spinach was cold, undercooked meat, and our food took almost 2 HOURS to come out. It was busy and I get it but that’s absolutely ridiculous. You don’t come to a high end restaurant to wait 2 hours for your food. The service was good but the food was absolutely unacceptable. No one should pay the prices they are charging here for the quality of food they serve. I will not be coming back to this establishment and I advise others to stay away. There was not a single dish, from the many that we had, that I could say was worth that we paid and that’s even including our $300 comp.
The restaurant boasts stunning decor, featuring impressive modern wall fireplaces and a blend of plush velvet couches, booths, and table seating. The sophisticated color palette of champagne, complemented by soft and deep wood tones and gold accents, creates a warm ambiance, enhanced by beautiful modern wall art.
The service was outstanding. I particularly appreciated the staff’s attire, which ranged from the Chanel-inspired hostess ensembles to the distinctive suits worn by the waitstaff. Overall, the service was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional.
The cocktails were delightful, and the wine selection was notably impressive. As for the food, it was equally exceptional. My salmon was cooked to perfection, just as I had requested, and the salad was lovely. My friends enjoyed their meals as well, including shrimp appetizers, the pasta, bone marrow and crab, all of which were excellent.
The star at the end of the meal was their 18 layer chocolate cake, wow, a must try
One piece of feedback I would offer is that the televisions in the adjacent room to the main dining area detract from the otherwise elegant dining experience.
Overall, our experience at Nicco’s was fantastic, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable meal.
