One thing that’s really nice about this and not that nice is that this place is not very busy. Going on a Friday night, it was really great to be able to get a place to sit and obtain a drink very quickly. The staff was nice. The drink was stiff. I don’t really have any complaints other than there wasn’t much of an atmosphere otherwise. Definitely low-key.

Praid for the kitchen! Late-night kitchen that fed me the best Green Chile Smashed Cheeseburger in a long time. It slaps. Garlic aioli, hot diced green chile, melted cheddar. Plus a generous amlunt of lettuce, tomato, pickles, and onion on the side to build your burger up.

I ordered regular fries, but I ate the smashburger over the fries, so it became ‘landed fries’ from drippings, haha!

The bar: full service bar with the regular offerings, plus some unique cocktails.

Beer: many localfavorites, regional craft, and national classics. I went with Santa Fe Brewery’s NMX Lager. Can’t go wrong.

Vibe: it varies, but tonight was a DJ that played mashups of 90s rave and SF queen with hip-hop. This could pass for any bar in Berlin tonight.

Downtown late-night eats needed? Give this place a shot!

Drink of choice: Cliffs of Insanity.. beyond awesome . Truly, I was impressed with the smoothness, and remarkable taste. The Green Chile Burger was delicious with tots! I really enjoyed it, the bartender was the best part! Friendly atmosphere, small but enjoyable!

Grabbed some quick lunch, the bartender and chef Juan were friendly. Ended up eating one of the better dive bar burgers I’ve had in a long time. Super cheesy and cooked to perfection. Worth eating again!

This place is just okay. The bartender was a super nice guy but the beer isn’t great. There’s indoor and outdoor seating, which is nice. We visited another Red Door location a while back and thought we’d give them a second try. If you’re a fan of great craft beer, this place probably shouldn’t be at the top of your list.

My husband and I stopped here for an early dinner on a Sunday after someone sitting out front waved us in to say how good it was. They were right!! My husband ordered the BLAT. I ordered the chicken finger Cobb salad. Both were wonderful!
We also had two Sierra Nevada hazy ipas. All in a great early dinner!

This review is of the new location at 509 Central which has been the location of several alcoholic establishments most recently Zullo’s Bistro and Bar. I too really enjoyed the spacious older location a few blocks away which was a converted bank but then I also wasn’t paying the rent and if the owners want to relocate to a smaller and more Central ( ) location then they certainly have that right. You still have all that great Red Door beer with even more taps than the old location as well as a full bar and that cool little back patio which is a great hang-out location in the evenings for people who really like to relax. Hopefully Red Door will establish itself at this new location and become a staple of the Downtown Albuquerque bar scene.

Went here to catch a comedy show and catch up with a friend. The patio was great and I was thrilled to be able to catch a new song from Athiest Robot P***y censored so the review will stand. Enjoyed the show and was glad to have caught it. This place feels like a welcoming local hangout that you would want to support and keep around.

The vibe is super relaxed but still lively good music, no pretentious energy, just a solid bar where you can actually hear your friends talk. The bartenders were on point and had some great cocktail recommendations. I went with their spicy marg and it was fire.

There’s a cool little patio in the back that makes it feel like a hidden gem right in the middle of downtown Albuquerque. It’s a great place to kick back with friends, whether you’re starting your night or winding down after dinner.

This place has definitely earned a spot on my regular rotation. If you’re looking for a local bar with personality, great drinks, and good energy, Red Door Downtown nails it.
