Unassuming restaurant supplying ample portions of familiar Chinese & Chinese-American fare.

I came in for a small meal, looking for some french fries. They did have some! I also bought steamed pork dumplings. they were they most neatly prepared, delicious, and fufilling dumplings I’ve ever had. The lady at the counter was very nice, understanding, and informative. the kitchen cook courteous, very fast and made the food good. better than going to McDonald’s!

I’ve been a fan of this local family restaurant for a while now and was waiting to write my review to see if they were consistent with their meals. I have to say the food is always flavorful and the variety is impressive. They definitely do try to go above or beyond expectations. Their prices, quality of food, and portions are what keeps me coming back! Be a little adventurous and try something off their Special menu.

General Tso chicken was amazing! Highly recommended in the area. The chicken was fresh and not overly breaded. This place is a straight BANGER! Can’t wait to try other menu items. Great job guys

paid 7 dollars for french fries, and I got the same fries that you throw in the toaster from Publix, most likely from a bag of McCain or Ore-Ida.
and they were deff thrown in a toaster oven. I make these fries in a toaster myself all the time, so I instantly recognized them.
disgraceful 7 dollar charge.
BEWARE of the fries here, do NOT order
good food otherwise, just have to get those fries in order..
but you deserve a 3 star review for that. that was pretty low ball of you guys… for 7 dollars lol…
I will try your fries again in a few months, if you stop using publix fries in toaster, then I will adjust to 5 star.
why not just make your own fries? then 7 dollars is justified.

I went in on Christmas and ordered chicken with vegetables: broccoli, snow peas, mushrooms, onions. Asked for it to be well cooked, as I have no teeth. Came with NO CHICKEN!!! It didn’t have any snow peas but it had regular peas that were completely hard. They recooked & the vegetables came too hard for me to eat, so I had them make it again. Still not right but I ate it anyway. when I left, I took the leftovers with me. when I went to eat it later something very sour was in the bottom. I stopped eating it and threw it away. I became very ill, had diarrhea and not been feeling like myself since. All in all I am extremely unhappy. I would like my money back.

I usually don’t write Google reviews, but this place absolutely deserves one. My girlfriend and I first came here after Hurricane Milton, when it was one of the few places still open. I wasn’t a big fan of Chinese food before, but their dishes completely changed my mind. Today was my third visit, I had the beef pad thai and they even gave me complimentary tea just to try! It really shows how much they care about their food and want people to enjoy it. The people here are so genuine, and the food is honestly incredible. Highly recommend!

Great atmosphere!
Good service. They got my order wrong and happily fixed it and added in a free egg roll. Their egg rolls are amazing!

Oh my gosh. I had the best duck I have ever had in my life! I don’t eat duck very often because it’s greasy. Not this duck. It was perfection. It was juicy, tender and not the least bit greasy. How do they do it? You must order the duck two days in advance so they can work their magic. The restaurant itself is more like a takeout Chinese restaurant devoid of any charm whatsoever. But, frankly, I couldn’t care less. Eat in or takeout, it doesn’t matter. All your senses will be focused on the duck!

Update 10/17/2023 So I stopped in this evening to order supper. I ordered Krab Rangoons which were half empty and overcooked and crunchy. It’s a good thing he said he was going to give them to us free for the amount of money we spent. And free 2 liter for the long wait.
Chicken Lomein that they didn’t season properly. It looked and tasted like they were using just a splash of sauce to barely change the color of the noodles. The vegetables in it weren’t cooked enough ,at all almost. Hardly any chicken at all.
I ordered the chicken wings with the general Tso sauce. I received “fried chicken wings “ extra crispy and no Tso sauce.
I ordered 2 Shrimp with Broccoli, extra extra extra spicy. Not the first bit of spice at all.
Steamed Dumplings which my husband said they were ok.
I really don’t like paying and wasting $58.05 for” food “ that wasn’t even edible. No flavor and definitely NOT WHAT I ORDERED LET ALONE WORTH THE MONEY. I have watched this place go downhill every time we use them. I called shortly after making plates. I explained that I had just been in and what I had ordered. Explained that no spice , No General Tso sauce or anything. I was told, oh , sorry. I told him that this was probably going to be the LAST TIME USING THEM. I was hung up on. If you decide to use this so called Chinese Food place , BEWARE!!! Check your food BEFORE YOU LEAVE!!! But I’d advise you to find elsewhere to eat. Unfortunately, there aren’t many Good Chinese Food options left here in Manatee County. Asia Restaurant and The Lantern Restaurant are gone after several decades of Wonderful Food and Service, sadly. But this family business has reached its expiration date for us.
Expensive and food wasn’t so good this time. Only thing that had flavor was General Tao’s Chicken. Even Crab Rangoon was either old or they overcooked them, they were practically empty. They forgot an item as well. I called and they were accomodating, but I’d have to return. Service is very friendly. This place is now called Rainbow.

This is a really good new Chinese restaurant in this area. I got lunch for the first time today. It was very fresh, and delicious. I particularly loved the wonton soup. Will be back soon!
