We arrived just before our reservation. It took a while for them to seat us even though there were empty seats because the table hadn’t been cleared. I asked if we can have a drink while we waited. The hostess said that she’s only been there for a week and had to check. It was pretty busy so we ordered drinks and a few dishes while we pored over the menu. Some of the dishes started to arrive but our drinks don’t show up. We had to ask for the drink and a few dishes. They weee apologetic and comped us. It was a busy night and it seemed as if at least 2 of the folks were being trained. We were incredibly full towards the end. The sushi was good but the hands down favorite was the wagyu.

Five stars all around. The fish quality at Seabutter Beverly Hills is outstanding, and every dish is thoughtfully prepared. The Salmon Truffle, Double T nigiri with toro and truffle, and the Spicy Tuna crispy were all incredible. Service was warm and attentive, and the overall experience felt polished from start to finish. One of the best sushi spots in Beverly Hills.

I have been here about five times and the experience has been the same each time. The service is awful and makes you want to leave before even eating. On our last visit the server ignored us for over 25 minutes, no water, no greeting, clearly understaffed. When someone finally showed up they apologized but offered nothing else and the attitude was very dry.
We ordered anyway and the seafood tasted extremely fishy and not fresh. It is close by which is the only reason we kept trying, but the bad service and poor food quality make it not worth returning. Definitely not retuning back!

The service, food, and ambience were all fantastic! Cade (maybe Kade) was one of the best servers I’ve ever had in my entire life. I went there for my friend’s birthday, and he truly gave phenomenal service, going out of his way to make it feel like a special event for my friend. The food was also phenomenal, especially loved the pressed sushi and truffle salmon. Really unique, high quality variations. Would highly recommend this place!!

1️⃣classic omakase-Reasonably priced and quite good. The slices were thicker and very fresh, making it great value for the price. I’m satisfied!✅✅
2️⃣fried tempura-Excellent! The batter was done perfectly—crispy and light.✅✅✅✅
3️⃣pressed otoro-Felt more Americanized. If you prefer traditional Japanese style, skip this one. The texture was lacking, and it kept sticking to the paper box.
4️⃣dragon roll-The sauce was overly salty, and the rice was too wet and sticky, clumping together unpleasantly.
* But I do appreciate the thoughtful note! It felt very considerate—thank you so much!

Ordered via DoorDash and I must say this was quite delicious! Sushi was fresh and flavorful, also very reasonably priced and being in Beverly Hills that’s rare. They also left a sweet note on my order. Not only will I order again but I will also dine in person. Very satisfied first time customer!

We did the tasting menu and it was amazing. Every bite was excellent and the fish was incredibly fresh and buttery. Some of the best fish quality I’ve had in LA. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in town.

Hair on a business trip and pull this name out of the hat for sushi tonight, it was close by our hotel. We were the first to arrive approximately 6 PM and received such a warm welcome from the host Astrauex, the sushi chefs and our server. The fish was fresh and tasty, The yellow tail melted in my mouth. They are light on the rice, which is wonderful! You have to try the marilyn monroll! By the time we were done more guests were filtering in…. Don’t forget the green tea matcha mochi!

Decent sushi with different roll options but was expecting a bit more flavor and quality suggestive of the restaurant name for something near Beverly Hills. This restaurant is more of a lunch place not a high dining sushi experience. Most of the dishes are fusion. Pressed sushi is decent but falls apart unlike other restaurants with decent pressed sushi. Aburi style flamed sushi is a standout.
I highly suggest not getting the 911 roll – extremely spicy beyond measure. My lips are still burning hot as I write this review.

First time eating at Seabutter and we had an amazing experience. The food and service was exactly what we were looking for. Hip and cozy at the same time. The sushi chefs were a lot of fun. I highly recommend sitting at the bar to have a more interactive experience
