We just happened to be walking by Corkscrew Wine Shop & Bar in Fort Mill and decided to swing in on a whim, and we’re so glad we did. We sat at a small table and enjoyed some wine and a pastry. We arrived right when they opened and had no trouble grabbing a seat, but by the time we left the place was jammed and there was a wait to get in.
They offer a variety of seating options including tables, couches, and the bar, which gives the place a really comfortable and inviting feel. The menu has a nice selection of wines, cocktails, and some food options as well. Even as it got crowded, the service was generally great with multiple staff members checking in on us throughout our visit. We did have a small hiccup where a dessert we ordered never came out. Once we mentioned it to another server he got the order in right away and we received it shortly after. It seemed like the staff all share tables rather than having assigned sections, so things might occasionally slip through the cracks when it gets busy. It was a minor inconvenience but nothing that would keep us from coming back.
We stayed for an hour or two and had a wonderful time. We will 100% be back next time we’re in the area. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in Fort Mill.

Corkscrew is my favorite wine bar in the greater Charlotte area! The atmosphere is wonderful and the bartenders and staff are great, especially Josh. Josh always makes the best recommendations for drinks! When I want to try something new, I ask Josh for a recommendation, and he nails it every time! Great place for a date night, grabbing a drink after work, and even solo!

We’re recommended this place and decided to give it another shot after a decent first visit. Unfortunately, our recent experience was disappointing. Our waitress (her name is PM B), took our order but completely forgot our request for water, which wasnt big deal at first. After waiting a while, we flagged her down for water again. She said “oh yeah, sorry” but then went behind the counter and started eating snacks instead of bringing the water, we were looking at the menu to place the order.
We ended up waiting 15 minutes more she never came with water or take another order we flagged her again couple times, and when we finally had enough, we asked for the check so we could leave and find somewhere else that values customer service. It’s frustrating to see a place hire staff who seem indifferent. It’s a shame because we live nearby, but we won’t be coming back.

I have always been happy with my experiences at Corkscrew, but when I was there a few weeks ago, it was worthy of a five star review. I had the privilege of being waited on by Charles, who was an absolute delight. He was so knowledgeable about wine, and did a wonderful job listening to my preferences and helping me to choose a wine that I loved. He was attentive, kind, and engaging, and ensured my friends and I had a wonderful experience.

Our favorite wine bar in the Charlotte metro. Not only do they offer special, not-so-commercial wines by the glass and bottle, they make amazing cocktails. Finger foods are solid and you can buy a bottle of wine on the way out from the retail area. Welcoming, friendly, helpful staff also.

After dinner at Taco Molino, the four of us walked to Corkscrew Wine Pub for an after dinner drink. It has a nice setup with couches to sit while you eat and drink. They have a fantastic selection of wine by the glass, or you can order a bottle. I had an old fashion, which was just ok. I will stick with wine the next time I come back. The food looks good, too. Corkscrew is a great place to have drinks with friends or have a date night.

Walked in and received immediate service. Atmosphere is very nice and modern feel. Prices are a bit high on some things, but it’s a very nice establishment with a full service bar and great selection of beers, liquors, and wines.

Charles is the wine master! My husband and I had not visit Corksrew in a while, but we were lucky to have Charles as our host and server. He was polite and accommodating, and as a bonus, he had excellent wine recommendations!

1st time going. Casual setting. Very cozy decor. Wine selection is nice and not over priced. The food selections are very good and portions are good. Charcuterie for 2 was excellent. We also ordered a flat bread just to try. Excellent flavor. I also ordered a porter beer and it was nice and cold. They also have a full bar as well. We will definitely go back.

This is a wine bar with lots of alcohol choices. You can get anything . It was perfect for a girls night out. Very cozy atmosphere with a low light. We had a great time talking, drinking and listening to a love music. It’s a nice place to be on Friday night. I definitely will be back to try something else in their cocktails menu. It’s a rare place that is nice to have a drink only.
