I just tried the traditional samosas here, but they were delicious. The chutneys were great, and the potatoes and peas filling had wonderful flavor. I didn’t have to wait long, and it was a great snack to go with my cider from next door. The lady who took my order was very friendly and offered great suggestions. I wish the places closer to me had food trucks like this one. Give it a try if you’re nearby.

Order here if u are willing to wait and donot have a time crunch . The lady serving seems to be good but was frazzled by the number of orders.
I just ordered a corn and lassi and she didnot tell me it will be a 15 minute wait until I tapped my card to pay.
I tried canceling as I was in a time crunch after waiting a while and she said my corn was ready and she’d our my lassi right away. I waited for her to serve 2 more orders and gently checked with her on the lassi status- she said – dont do this for small business owners , u were in the end of the line. I very well understand that and only asked her to cancel as I could not afford to wait . She poured out 2 lassi’s( one iced and one without ice) and pushed them both to me- I just picked one and walked out. It was not a good experience.
Food wise – the corn was sub par- not well roasted .
The lassi was okay.
I understand if the orders are a lot, but giving a heads up on the wait time before taking the payment would have saved us both some heart ache.

I absolutely understand and I didn’t pester and i didn’t ask u to prioritize me before others who placed their order. . I only asked if you could cancel my order respectfully- as I could NOT wait- we were running late.if u had told me it was a 15 min wait before I swiped the card I wouldn’t have placed the order in the first place. We were on a tight timeline and made a pitstop for strawberries and came to check ur truck seeing the board and hearing the berries lady rave about ur food.if you couldn’t cancel my order – i’d have appreciated if u said that to me instead of leaving me there hanging . I have the utmost respect for small business owners especially women owned. I understand the sacrifices and struggles that go behind the scene a little too well.

Anita’s food is absolutely incredible! I’ve visited her twice, and every dish I’ve tried has been outstanding. My absolute favorite is her Samosa Chaat—the flavors are rich, fresh, and perfectly balanced. Her Paneer is also amazing – so flavourful. You can truly taste the love and care she puts into every dish.
Beyond the food, the place itself is warm, inviting, and cozy. It’s the kind of spot where you just want to sit, relax, play and enjoy every bite (it just recharges you). Anita is such a lovely and warm person—her kindness and passion shine through in both her cooking and her hospitality. This has quickly become one of my favorite places to eat, and I can’t wait to go back. Highly, highly recommend!

Good food for a reasonable price. I’m not a fan of Indian cuisine but my wife is so for her birthday we ordered carry out for dinner. She loved the butter chicken & much to my surprise chicken tika sub was quite tasty.

BEST FOOD IN ELK RAPIDS! I got the soup and naan and my fiancé got the butter chicken, it was all incredible. I liked the fact that the food is not spicy at all, but there is an option to add heat. Extremely high quality food and service, we will be returning!

Anita deserves your business. She greets you by name, and it is the best Indian food I’ve had in Michigan outside of metro Detroit (better than a lot of Detroit Indian restaurants as well).
Staff is friendly as well and prices are good for the quality of food. Highly recommend!

I went in the restaurant to use the restroom before i ordered. The lady at the counter stopped me and said for paying customers only. I told her that I needed to look at the menu but needed to use the bathroom first. She said no I had to pay first. I kindly told her that I would not be ordering then and left. I really wanted to try the food too. If that is how customers are treated there forget it.
