However, there’s an opportunity to improve the takeout experience. When I stopped through El Paso and ordered pho to go, it was packaged in a long, narrow plastic container that couldn’t comfortably hold the noodles, vegetables, and meat together. I ended up having to eat the dish in two parts, which took away from the overall experience. Better-designed takeout containers would make a big difference!
I’ve had the lumpia rolls, beef bahn mi, seafood pho, brisket pho and boba. They’re all great.
They do get busy so the waitress I’ve had does seem to be a little more rushed and she’s usually the only one waiting the tables so I understand.
It is very clean, the drinking glasses, silverware and restroom are always clean.
Again, come try it here!
It was my very first time eating here today, and I was not disappointed. I didn’t plan to come here originally, but the place I wanted to go was charging dinner price for lunch. The cashier said it was because of being a “holiday,” Since when did Valentine’s Day become a holiday ?! I quickly looked for another option nearby and Pho 24 popped up on my Yelp radar. I decided to give it a try.
Upon entering the restaurant, the place looked bright and inviting though besides two TVs, there weren’t too much decor on the walls (or elsewhere for that matter). The dining area had ample tables – 10 (seating for 4), table for 8, and table for 20. So, if you want to bring a group, 20 folks can sit together.
I ordered Pho tai as I usually do when visiting any Vietnamese restaurant for the first time. That’s my way of establishing the baseline, especially comparing taste of food – particularly the pho broth. The broth was very good, perhaps the best I tasted in El Paso. Rare steak was very tender – sometimes it’s very tough and chewy – no issues here. Rice noodles were perfectly cooked and not clumpy though I thought the amount could be a little more for a large bowl. Maybe that’s the reason it’s only $ 8.95 instead of $ 11 or $ 12 elsewhere. Service was prompt and polite. The old lady who was bussing the table and filling your glasses didn’t speak English, but it was just fine. She was pleasant enough.
This probably will become my No. 1 Pho restaurant in El Paso. I will definitely be back. If you like pho, you need to try Pho 24!
