The Pho Chan is overall great. I am satisfied with the both the quality and quantity of the food and most importantly the price. In my own personal opinion the biggest downside is the service because there is not a lot of servers and people working here and the chopstick and napkins was not on the table. Today is my second time here and it was a little better because there was not a lot of people. In my own personal opinion the worst time to eat her is at 12:30pm to 5pm because there are a lot of people and overall the whole processes is so slow and waste of time. Based on my own and experience only come here before 12pm and during the weekend.

Recently, my sense of taste brought me to Pho Char once again. On a quiet Thursday night, curiosity took control and we made the decision to try it.
We were welcomed by an atmosphere that was almost Zen-like when we arrived. But because it was the middle of the week, I was willing to overlook the seating area’s appearance of a ghost town as a potential warning sign.
We ordered a variety of foods, including fried rice with vegetables (we asked for Thai spicy), summer rolls, and dumplings. A crisp and energizing bite like the summer roll, which made a commendable debut, would be ideal on a hot summer day. The dumplings, on the other hand, were an underwhelming supporting act and had a curiously store-bought performance flavor.
The combination fried rice, the pièce de résistance, was a visual spectacle but sadly tasteless. It came in an oddly shaped bowl and featured shreds of chicken breast and enormous shrimp. The culinary group, though, fell short of expectations. The shrimp, despite their size, lacked flavor, and the chicken was as flavorless as a cardboard cutout. Richer flavors of chicken thighs and smaller, more flavorful shrimp would have greatly enhanced the dish. Ironically, the star of the show was the rice itself, whose perfectly aged texture hinted at the use of day-old rice.
In a previous trip, the pho also failed to impress me because it lacked flavor, just like the fried rice did. While Pho Char checks all the right boxes for a calm atmosphere, its food selection falls short. It resembles a beautifully wrapped gift that is disappointing when unwrapped. Unfortunately, Pho Char is still a melody that falls flat.

Out of all the great Pho spots in NoVA, this one ranks among the top for me. The broth is so flavorful! My goto lunch spot in Manassas. Very affordable too.

Avoid this restaurant!! I did a takeout order by phone , clearly stating that I wanted one small flank steak, Pho, a large veggie and a large chicken
Pho. When I got there, they had to order wrong and went back to fix it after I paid at the register. When I got home, the chicken was disgusting, Had a horrible rotten sour flavor to it like it was seriously bad.
With all the pho restaurants out there, you’re taking your life in your own hands with this one! Avoid it at all costs.

Good pho, terrible service. This wasn’t our first time here, we’ve been here plenty of other times, but today was the straw that broke the camels back. The lady with glasses was absolutely rude. She’s always there whenever we go and she always seems to hate her job and always seems just very bothered and annoyed. Today we came 30-40 minutes before close and she sat us and and slammed the menus with such passive aggression. She came and took our orders and would walk off before we could even finish speaking. She wouldn’t check on us and make sure if everything was ok. Normally I’m very patient but today’s behavior completely did it for me and I will not be coming back. I can understand not knowing good customer service but you have to draw the line somewhere.

Food was amazing, been here three pr four times now and its always been great. The Grilled Ribeye is my personal favorite but the soup is also great. Price was okay but absolutely worth it.

One of the best Pho places we have found. The Pho Char was very nice and clean. Staff were efficient and polite. We had summer roll which I love, fresh and not sticky. Not keen on peanut sauce but Siracha helped with that. I ordered combination Teriyaki with salad and rice. Really liked that too. Rice I don’t eat. My hubs said it was good. Big pot of Jasmine tea. Oh happy day. This is probably the only place I have been to where the food looked like the pictures in the menu. Impressed. Prices are great. Definitely not over priced. Will be going back again.

Always tiny portions. Doesn’t matter if you order large or small, you get the same thing you just pay more for less. One bag of sprouts and six whole basil leaves for two “large” pho orders, very disappointing. Going back to pho duong

Ok so we’ve dined at this restaurant twice now in the span of four days. The food is very good snd I highly recommend it. However, I had to downgrade a five star rating to three stars due to service quality and bathroom cleanliness. Although the bathroom is largely clean, the smell of sewage was overbearing. Additionally, we can’t help to notice that the service is very awkward and slightly rude. They never look you in the eyes and when they serve you, they do it so aggressive and impersonal. I’m a few instances they set down your food and run away without asking if you need anything. They even tossed the check at my table as it landed and slid on the table. I may visit again for the quality of food but I feel like they don’t appreciate our patronage and would rather we didn’t come in. If you like Vietnamese pho, this place is great. However, don’t expect service with a smile. I think they’ve become used to the convenience of not having to be cheerful and blaming it on Covid.

The short of it is that the Pho is the best/legit thing we ordered, all else was Americanized and service is minimal.
Order: edamame, viet egg rolls, chicken teriyaki with rice/salad, grilled chicken rice, veggies, and pho. Except the pho, everything tasted unauthentic and Americanized which was surprisingly disappointing.
I know it’s tough out there in the restaurant industry but it seemed like the staff was lifeless, not mean, not rude, not happy, not attentive. Just minimal. I feel for them.
They definitely have a lot of take out orders which is great to keep their business running
