Yesterday night we were able to walk in and seat at the counter. We got lucky since all of the tables were already reserved. The food was great. A lot of it was plant-based and it was great to have such delicious dishes that we know are also generally healthy. Their wines were unique and very good. Each each that we tried had its own distinct profile. And the dessert was delicious. It was a lovely date night and we look forward to going back!

What a lovely experience this was! You won’t be disappointed. We had the tuna tartare and it was the best I have had in a long time. The past special was so delicious and balanced, I adored it. I don’t drink much alcohol and they had some really fun drinks to chose from. If you do, their list looked incredible. The desserts were also delightful. Thanks for such a lovely meal!!

Quality food and very warm service. The beer flight was excellent. Would happily recommend all dishes. We had the short rib, steak frites and an awesome butterscotch dessert. Thanks for an amazing meal

Came here with a friend who told me who follows the news of award winning chef Valentine Howell. She told me there was a pop-up before and now it found a home at Vee Vee cafe in Jamaica Plain.
Absolutely great food. Everything was tasty. Highly recommend the red snapper rundown and dessert.
Reasonable pricing
Nice atmosphere for catch-up with a couple of friends
Accessible by orange line (10 min walk from Green St T Station)

We tried Vee Vee for my birthday dinner and the food was SO good. While the food being amazing, the timing of the dishes to come out could use a bit of work. Because it’s a tapas style, I expected the flow to be pretty solid. We ordered 5 dishes and they all came out at odd timings of one another. I found this especially odd since the restaurant wasn’t busy at all. Maybe 3 tables inside and a handful outside with many many open tables. I also think that Vee Vee is slightly overpriced as two of the tapas items were $35 each. Overall, the food was the highlight.

Last night, my three friends and I had another amazing dinner at VeeVee’s. I had the seared tuna and it was outstanding. Two of my friends had the pasta special, and one had the Gorditas for the first time and they all agreed their entrees were great. We all made sure to bring our appetites so we could have appetizers (the mushrooms, olives and frites) and dessert. All were delicious (as usual)!

Vee Vee is one of my absolute favorite restaurants in JP. A cozy, unassuming vibe, with a wonderful menu and delicious rotating specials. The staff is lovely, and one staff member even remembered my name after not visiting for a long time! That only reminded me how I need to go there more often. Plus, their back patio is one of our favorite places to bring friends and out-of-towners to for dinner and drinks in the summer. We need more spots like this in JP.

I hadn’t been to Vee Vee in years, and was so excited to hear about their partnership with Chef Valentine and Black Cat. I’m a HUGE fan of Top Chef, wanted to go support a local Black cheftestant, and to sample an Afro-Caribbean menu. My partner and I LOVED everything we ordered, from the ceviche to the scallops, it was superb! Ella, our server was great, and took good care of us. And then to top it all off, Chef Valentine visited our table (and let me talk his ear off!) The menu is a welcome addition to the neighborhood, and it was nice to see such a diverse group of guests in JP. The combination of Vee Vee and Black Cat makes for a perfect date night, dinner with friends, or solo dinner at the bar. I hope Chef Valentine stays on. We will definitely go back soon!

Veevee is one of our all-time favorites. The food and drinks are always excellent, and the owners put so much heart into the place. We used to come here often when we lived in Boston, and it’s still a must-visit every time we’re back. Highly recommended!

Disappointing, especially for the price point. Bland, dry, uninteresting food for high end prices. I had the seared tuna, which was just some dry, bland slices of tuna on a big bed of bland rice and plain raw vegetables. Good service and drink options slightly helped to make up for the food.
