Stopped in on a whim while traveling through to Iowa—and what a delightful surprise! This adorable little shop is both a bakery and an eatery, bursting with charm. We happened to visit around Easter, and the counter was a cheerful display of bunny cakes and springtime cookies—each one decorated with amazing detail.
We grabbed an oatmeal raisin cookie and a macadamia nut cookie for the road, and with the first bite, we were instantly transported to our grandma’s kitchen. Pure homemade goodness.

My sister-in-law and I had an early lunch here. I had the cheeseburger special and it was great. We purchased something treats from their bakery before we left and it was all delicious! So glad we stopped here. Very cute and cozy atmosphere inside too.

Incredible Story: The baked food is amazing but the service is special-
**I am a Tuesday regular around 10:30am- Typically no doughnuts for me unless I call because all their baked food is good, and gone by then:) 6 weeks ago I spoke with the owner about potentially ordering Oatmeal Chocolate Chip instead of with Raison. Yesterday, as I was lucky enough to get 6 amazing doughnuts plus she mentioned the cookies we discussed weeks prior. I said you know I need to follow-up with you on that one of these weeks. I didn’t have to- She made them Monday, knowing I’d be in on Tuesday- I left my favorite bakery yesterday with 6 incredible doughnuts and 12 huge, moist, Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies- Thank you! Pay them a visit-

Food was excellent. The woman at the front counter gave “whites only pies vibes”. I don’t think she wanted to serve us at all. Damn near threw our food on the table, gave us the wrong plates. No syrup or butter for the pancakes. She barely responded when we spoke to her. I can’t say she was racist, but all we did was stop by, order breakfast, pay and eat. Idk what we could of done to make her not like us except be black. I told my boyfriend “I don’t think she wants us here” he said “I was just thinking that”

My daughter and her fiancé drive over 2 hours on ice and snow to get these cakes. Coco was cracked and has a mark on his face. Barbie well seriously that doesn’t even look like Barbie and her hair is literally in the cake. We have used this bakery before and got wonderful results and that is why I ordered these cakes here.

From the beginning, Laura was always quick to respond and very helpful. When we did a cake tasting, she was very kind and I loved the small town feel of her business. She was patient and attentive, and met our vision for the cake (textured white 3-tiered with a different flavor for each tier). On the wedding day, the cake was delivered on time and no complications. Affordable and well done, I highly recommend.
