Try it!!! It is worth it!!! Does need improvement but The crawfish cornbread with yum yum sauce is 5 stars. The bacon wrapped and jalapeno stuffed shrimp was 5 stars. The fried combo platter was 2 stars. There was so much batter, it seemed frozen or just not quite right. The seasoning was good but it needs a little work. The staff was good, however, the waitresses would sit down at an empty table next to us and look at phones. It made us uncomfortable because they weren’t talking and my group felt uncomfortable talking. The wait staff shouldn’t sit down next to customers. A man, I assume the owner, came and checked on us and was very nice. Not only did he make sure we were good, he offered a to – go refill. One more thing, everything I ordered they did not have. I know menus are expensive, however, it is frustrating. The waitress did not make me aware of what was not available before I ordered. If she would have said, the hen, the gumbo, and the shrimp cocktail are not available right now, it would have saved a lot of frustration. I dont mind items not being available during covid-19 but go the extra mile and let the customers know before hand..I will be back

I decided to grab a quick bite visiting Marksville and Stephen’s was my choice.
Outside appearance was very Cajun so 5/5 on what to expect.
The woman at the front I didn’t catch her name but she greeted me with a smile and told me about drinks specials ect. She left me with no questions before seating me. 5/5
The decor was decent but my only complaints was the layout of the restaurant. 3/5
I ordered the crawfish wrap. I ordered it expecting a heavily batters and not what you would typically expect in a wrap (that’s why I ordered it), I was surprised the spices in the batter complimented the lightness of the batter while not making the crawfish gummy and chewy 5/5.

First time visitors from out of town, and we will most definitely be back every time we visit Marksville! Food was excellent, and the Stephens made us feel right at home. Family friendly, great service, and good food-you can’t ask for more!

While staying at the casino down the road, some of the casino staff suggested this place. It didnt have any reviews, so I trusted their judgement.
I went with 2 of the guys from singer Anthony Hamilton’s band, who I tour with.
The staff was very friendly. The Owner was there, and he was very nice and hospitable. He even brought us out a tray of crawfish, and a few shrimp to eat while we waited for our food.
In total, we ordered about 8 lbs of crawfish, 25 oysters, and several lbs of shrimp.
And some Yum Yum sauce, which lived up to its name!!

Good enough that I shared some crawfish with Anthony. After he ate some, he called y phone, laughing, and said, “My lips are on fire, but they taste so good. I want to go down there!!”
It seems like everything is made to order, so keep that in mind if you’re on a time restriction.
I will definitely visit this restaurant in the future. No complaints here!!

It’s a small place but has a great menu. The food is delicious. Our server was very pleasant and really had a sense of humor. I’m not a fan of waffle fries but the order I had were the best I’ve ever had. My burger was just as I ordered. Met the cook, bottle washer and cashier(the owner). When in Marksville, stop and try some cornbread.
