guy here: amazing place. You enter through the back alley, like it’s prohibition era. As I walked I immediately said “ok this smells like an actual French boulangerie / pâtisserie: great start”.

They understand pastries and get it right. Creative variations like Shakshuka Danish, Baklava croissant, Biscoff latte… Everything was delicious. Those are not gimmicks: everything is the right amount of flaky, fluffy, crispy, creamy.

Grab 2-3 of them and make it a meal.

I was visiting town and found this bakery nearby. I was so glad I did. I tried many things on the menu and they were all so amazing but hands down the best thing was the brownie, runner up ginger pear tart. The environment was very welcoming and I feel like if I lived locally this would be a great place to bring a book and snuggle up with a warm drink and baked goodie. I hope to be able to return one day.

I ordered a custom cake for a gender reveal and shared a Pinterest inspiration photo in advance. The cake did resemble the inspiration overall, but some of the finer details were lacking. The cake was not evenly round, and the decorations didn’t feel as polished as I had expected for the price. The cake itself tasted well enough. (Almond cake with berries filling)

The packaging was also an issue—the cake was too tall for the box provided, so it wasn’t well sealed, which made transport a bit stressful.

Communication could have been better as well. I arrived within the expected pickup window, but the baker wasn’t available for questions and couldn’t be reached by phone. I followed up by email and didn’t hear back for several days, and my questions weren’t addressed.

The bakery’s regular baked goods are delicious, which made this experience disappointing. While I enjoy their other items, I would likely not order a custom or event cake from here again.

Great tucked away spot for coffee and pastries. We tried some of their savory and sweet pastries and they were all delicious. We tried their chocolate and pistachio bar, as we’re wrapped up in the “Dubai Chocolate” fad, and this was one of the best spin offs that we’ve tried. Seating can get tight but we made it work for a group of 6.

I ordered their Valentine’s Day “Lover’s Box” which they do seasonally and recommend that as well – mark your calendar now!

La Recette Patisserie has some of the best food I have eaten in the Triangle – period. The pastries are out-of-this-world and the warm coffee/tea drinks are unique and flavorful. Our first visit was in early 2026 and we have come back almost weekly. Truly unmatched, and a great complement to the incredible Gelato/Italian dessert store next door.

Ordered a full dessert spread for a big anniversary/reunion bash at a local farm. Djamila worked with us to figure out the right menu for our event, factoring in everything from guest preferences to location and weather, and it all turned out so lovely! Would def recommend.

Poorly managed bakery. I tried to order a special birthday cake for my wife online 10 days ago. I filled in all the information on the online request form, but the send button on the website doesn’t work. I tried calling the bakery but no one answers the phone except Friday to Saturday when the bakery is open. I waited till the weekend, and finally reached a human being once the bakery was open. Asked if I could order a cake by phone. Answer was “No.”. Only on the web. I asked if they carry cakes in the bakery, like the standard small rosewater cake for 6 people described on the website, for pick-up on my wife’s birthday the next weekend. Answer: “No.”. I explained that the request form online doesn’t work. I was told that I should email instead, and the email address is on the website. However, there is no email address online, just an email button. But the email button also doesn’t work. So I called the bakery again and was verbally given an email address. I emailed my request for a small cake for 6 people, which is available as a standard cake online, a week in advance, after first trying to order a cake online and calling for 4 days prior. 2 1/2 days after emailing, I received an email response: “… we kindly ask for 2 weeks notice …”. Absurd. Google reviews rate La Recette 4.9. I’ve never tried La Recette, but that was why I tried so hard. Maybe the offerings are 4.9. I wouldn’t know. But I do know that La Recette is poorly run and offers a terrible taste in the mouth when it comes to their customer unfriendly service and lack of care for anyone but themselves.

I recently ordered from La Recette Patisserie’s catering menu for my baby shower, and I couldn’t be more impressed! They were incredibly accommodating and patient with my requests, making the process seamless. The cake pops, mini cupcakes, and strawberries were absolutely delicious—seriously a huge hit with all the guests! Not only did they taste amazing, but they were also beautifully curated and crafted with such attention to detail. I received so many compliments and had to sneak a few for myself before they were all gone! I’m so grateful to have worked with them on such a special day. Highly recommend their bakery for any occasion and to stop by and have a treat, tea or coffee!

Beautiful family owned establishment Maa shaa Allah. We went after the Eid prayer. Everything was amazing. We tried a variety of things and nothing disappointed! Even the coffee was good. If you are in the area please check them out.

Not that I don’t wish utmost success upon them but I cannot have La Racette be so popular that they sell out before I get there…

The La Belle was so incredible- pistachio mousse, raspberry core, chocolate base, dipped in pistachio chocolate lived up to its description. They have a good variety of savory and sweet goods.

Their staff are so so lovely and friendly! I only wish they had metal utensils instead of plastic- it feels more fitting for an upscale patisserie and the quality of desserts they are putting out.

Not sure if the price justification is needed by anyone but I would like to draw a comparison to restaurant desserts, which would cost similar prices ($8-12) but maybe he a store bought or average skillet brownie, a scoop of ice cream, and a caramel drizzle. While desserts here consist of multiple elaborate components that are balanced in terms of flavor and texture ‍♀️
