This was our first time going, I made the reservations for my husband’s birthday. The only reason why I didn’t give it five stars is because we didn’t get to hear the jazz band. Something happened and they couldn’t make it. I was really disappointed because that was the reason I wanted to go. However, the owner gave us her card and told us to contact her the next time we come to Columbia and she would give us tickets to one of their shows. The food was GREAT!! We had the Grits with Wings, French Toast with Wings, Chayz Mocktail Fruit Punch and the Red Velvet Cheesecake. The Grits were INCREDIBLE!!! The overall atmosphere was great, the staff and owner Ms. Chayz were great and friendly! We will definitely be going back!!

I had an amazing time for my first visit and I’ll definitely be back. The crab cakes were DELICIOUS and were basically all crab meat and the salmon and grits dish was just as good. The vibe was calm and chill with live saxophone music accompanying old-school and 90’s R&B. The waitress was kind, thoughtful and checked on us often and they give everyone sanitizer as they walk in (a huge plus and tells me they value cleanliness). This is for sure one of my new favorite places in Columbia.

The garlic braised short rib is juicy, flavorful and fell off the bone. The strawberry layered cheesecake was so good we had to stop ourselves from ordering another one.

My wife and I have been planning to visit this ‘jewel’ for quite some time. We went on Sat/26Apr 2025 to celebrate my wife’s birthday. We heard Nils (guitarist) go through his playlist of hits, and we had a great time! The atmosphere and food were great as well. I asked the owner how she chose Columbia SC for her lounge, and she responded a ‘pin’ on the map and being led by God. We are glad she was obedient . We had great upfront seats next to the stage!

Great live music, wonderful service, but THE FOOD!!! My one regret is that I didn’t get pictures of everything. Between the four of us, we had two carafes of mimosas, two cups of the chicken & potato chowder, an order of crab cakes, the Monterey chicken breast, two orders of the red wine braised short ribs, and some carrot cake cheesecake. Every single thing we ordered was absolutely incredible. The crab cakes and short ribs might’ve been the best I’ve ever tasted. Our server was also incredibly sweet and super attentive. We got in the car and immediately started talking about how soon we could go back.
