I was looking to try a different bbq restaurant and located Mission BBQ. It took me a while to order due to the walls covered with Oklahoma Military and Police and fire. So many heart felt pictures. I ordered the pull pork sandwich and fries, ice tea. The food was hot and delicious. Had 6 choices of sauces. I tried all of them and Decided that Memphis Belle my favorite! The staff were friendly and employee Russell checked if I needed anything and gave me coupon for a free sandwich on my next visit. I met the Manager Karen and she shared stories about the articles and pictures on the walls. I don’t give 5 stars very often. I gave a Big shout out for Mission BBQ

One of the better BBQ places I have found in OKC! Brisket was moist and flavorful. Baked beans were super unique and tasty. Mac and cheese was creamy and crusty (IYNYK)! Also I finally found authentic Carolina BBQ sauce that reminds me of my time in South Carolina. We will be back soon!

As a person who travels often, I always look for those exceptional places that stand out above the other restaurants, those that offer something different, something special something that raises them above the rest. Not just a chain restaurant, but something that you want to get behind, something that you want to support.. today I found it! Looking for a barbecue place in Oklahoma City to go eat .I stumbled across Mission BBQ. It’s rating on Google look good so we thought we would give it a try. Walked up to the counter to a smiling face of Ethan. We explained that this was our first time here and we had a few questions. and my husband asked if they give military discounts and Ethan spoke up and said we do even better.! He handed my husband a card and explained that that card was for veterans/ military and that they support their military and they do a lot of things for veterans and military and that he should take one of the cards and get registered and that he would also get a sandwich or other stuff through out the year. That peaked my husband’s curiosity so he grabbed the card.. so we’re asking a lot of questions about different foods and every time we would ask about something he would say would you like to get a sample? Bless his heart! I’m such a picky eater. He gave me a sample of the brisket. So good! I asked about the sides and again he asked if I wanted a sample. I declined because I would have tasted every thing. Sweet young man very well mannered with always saying ma’am. We received our food quickly and it was hot. The gentleman who handed us the food was informative explaining all the different BBQ sauces that would be on the table. Later we met Russell a very happy to help and answer all my husbands questions about the location and the person who started it. He explained about these wonderful cheese potatoes when I asked what was in them. He said goodness and how they were his favorite also. He was at our side making sure we were happy and he wanted to make sure our first experience was good. I don’t know who the owner is but he sure has a bunch of great people who work here. They are keepers! Do yourself a favor and go to Mission BBQ and taste that good food! It’s very clear they love the military and veterans as they have photos of called soldiers everywhere showing support for their service and sacrifice! Proud to visit and now support this Restaurant! I forgot to take a photo of my food. It was good and It’s gone! Until next time!

As a 20-year U.S. Air Force veteran, I can honestly say this restaurant is more than just BBQ—it’s a tribute to service and sacrifice. From the MIA/POW Remembrance Table to the walls honoring military and first responders, Mission BBQ truly sets itself apart.

The food was fantastic! My Brisket Sandwich was moist and flavorful, with Baked Beans that had a nice kick. My wife tried the Chopped Brisket, which wasn’t quite her favorite, but the manager, Luis, went above and beyond by bringing her a fresh sandwich without us even asking. That kind of service is rare. The sad thing is that I took no pics of my food. I was awe struck by being surrounded by such support of the military & first responders that I forgot to take them. Mission BBQ also high light those athletes who support this place – most notably MVP Josh Allen! I also saw Patrick Mahomes, Coach K, Bruce Harper, George Kittle are just a few to mention.

Outstanding food, inspiring atmosphere, and a genuine respect for those who serve. I’ll definitely be a regular here.

Great, employees and great food! A little challenging to pull in due to the traffic. But plenty of parking once you get in. I just love how they honor first responders and veterans and active duty military. The food is high-quality and delicious. They have sauces at every table! Couldn’t ask for more, I wish sides were included.

We stopped on impulse after being on the road 11 hours. All of the staff members were friendly but Eric was superbly hospitable! He answered our questions about the restaurant’s history, offered samples, refilled sauces, & finished the night with a complimentary dessert that was SO tasty! Excellent brisket, piping hot & flavorful veggies, & sweet cornbread — a fine meal in a setting much appreciated by a couple with several family members who have served. Thank you!!

The BBQ was very good and the service was excellent. All were very friendly. They have 6 different sauces to try. I mixed the Texas and hot honey which worked well! Brisket had good bark and flavor. The turkey and pulled pork were also very tasty. Mac and cheese was pretty good and the green beans had great flavor. Worth a visit…
