We’ve dined here a few times and have yet to review Lobo’s. We stopped by after spending a day at Itasca state park. The server was friendly and helpful. The beef brisket sandwich looked great and was a rather large sandwhich. I ordered the drummies and fries basket, which was delicious. One ordered a bowl of chili and it was pretty tasty and had a nice kick. The other ordered burger and fries and was a happy camper. This is a staple when we’re in the area, which has good food and service. Thanks Lobo’s!

Love coming here. Have yet to try the menu as we just come in for a few cocktails. Great atmosphere and service. Love the Up North bar vibe.

Stopped in for lunch and really liked the atmosphere / interior of the building.
We were there 10-15 minutes before anyone talked to us. A couple at the table next to us left instead of waiting. When the waitress was there, she was very nice.
Food took quite a while to get.
The chicken salad was good size, but the chicken was really dry. My chili was good, but unfortunately my burger and fries were both over cooked. They looked decent when they came, but both were harder and lacked flavor.

The atmosphere on the inside is great, they just need some work on the food and service. It could of been an off day, so we’d consider trying it again if we’re in the area.

Update a year later. Came in before any type of dinner rush would start and service was better.

As visitors from the cities, we were looking for an authentic restaurant to eat at as we were staying at cabin near Lake Itasca park. We ended up having three dinners there, because the food was so generous in portions, very delicious, and the staff super friendly. You wouldn’t want to miss their beef brisket, which was absolutely scrumptious and we shared the walleye dinner special which literally came with two big slabs of deep fried walleye!
The wall displays a hunter’s collection of wild animals too, with both a black and a white wolf, elk, deer, and bobcat (or lynx).

Food was very good! It took awhile to get our food / drinks because it was so busy, but our server was very apologetic and friendly! He took care of us and made sure we were doing okay. Pickle fries were very good as well as the chicken sandwich. Overall great experience.

We loved the food and the servers at Lobo’s. It’s now our go-to restaurant in the Lake Itasca area. They have a comfortable dog friendly patio, excellent beer selection, and delicious sandwiches, salads, fries, tater tots…..everything was fabulous, and the people were very friendly. Try the Turkey Overload and Brisket Sandwich. You won’t be disappointed.

Exploring Itasca State Park and stopped at Lobo’s for dinner. It’s a very nice modern, open restaurant and bar. We had the cheese burger with sweet potato fries and California burger with fries. Burgers were very tasty and fries were just right.

We stopped two different times at Lobos, once for lunch and another for dinner. Everyone working was friendly and provided wonderful service. The food was tasty (wings, cookie banana pie, Rueben, and pepper jack burger!) ! Very good vibes here! We will be back.

We arrived on a Saturday afternoon for a late lunch. It wasn’t too busy, but it took about 10 minutes before we were acknowledged and given menus. In their defense, there seemed to be a cook and one waitress/bartender on staff. Once we ordered our drinks, it was an acceptable amount of time for the food to arrive. We both had the Walleye Sandwich. It was one of the best I’ve had anywhere, and the coleslaw was delicious!
The atmosphere was clean and comfortable with just enough room between tables to be comfortable having a conversation without worrying about being too noisy for nearby patrons.
Lobo’s was recommended by staff at the nearby Itasca State Park. We were told it would be good, and they recommended the Walleye Sandwich, Lobo Burger, and the Prime Rib Sandwich.
We won’t hesitate to stop again if we are in the area.

Excellent food in such a comfortable place! We make it a point to come here when we are in the area. I was so impressed by our waitress Julie. Not only was she genuinely nice, she was extremely busy, and handled the room like a champ! That takes skill. She didn’t miss a beat.
