I ordered takeout, was told 20 mins and it was an hour for pick up. Received the spring rolls that were burnt and inedible. After speaking to the owner, he wanted me to text him photos and seemed to think it was acceptable food to serve to customers. He then made me drive back from Cherry Hill with my food to get a full refund, which he was going to throw in the garbage anyway. Steer clear of this place. The owner seemed to think it was funny. Do better with your customers.

We’ve ordered from this place of business in the past and the food was good. We ordered takeout and the food was inedible. I called the restaurant which is uncharacteristic of me in nature, advising the manager of the food quality. The response I was met with was that I was untruthful, and he was more than unapologetic or even concerned about the call. Never dining in or ordering from this place again not only for the poor food quality but the unprofessional response received to a returning customer. If the food wasn’t in the trash i would’ve had pictures attached. The owner wanted me to take the food out of the trash can and drive it back to the restaurant?! Never again

Although the staff was incredibly friendly, the food was just okay.

I was excited to take my Mom her for her birthday, especially since the menu was very extensive. I was a little worried when we arrived, because the restaurant was nearly completely empty (this was a Saturday late afternoon/early evening so right around the start of dinner rush), but I was reassured when those who did come in seemed to be regulars and the staff had a good rapport with them. The staff was also very friendly with us and took extra care in getting us our food in a timely matter and asking us questions about our preferences (i.e., spice level).

Even though the staff was great, that didn’t help the food. Nothing tasted outwardly bad, and we could tell that everything was well-made. It’s just that everything had a bit of a muted flavor and left much to be desired. For example, the General Tso’s chicken was just bland, despite me asking for it to be a bit spicy. The gyoza and wings were also just okay with not much flavor, and the scallion pancakes were a bit burnt.

Overall, the food was a bit disappointing, but I’m willing to give Oriental Pearl another shot because the staff really made an effort to make us feel comfortable!

Update: Food is better reheated. But please put actual basil leaves in the basil chicken dish. I added my own & it tastes much better.

Was hoping this could be a one stop shop for my asian foods but food is okay.

I ordered beef & broccoli & basil chicken both of which I usually love. Prices weren’t bad but flavor was lacking or just different from what I expected. There’s barely any basil in the basil chicken. Typically this dish includes leaves & it just looks like basil seasoning which barely has flavor in comparison. Not bad overall, no issues ordering, portions are good & I might order again. But more than likely going to shop around for the flavor & expectations I’m looking for.

Honestly disappointed in the Philly area food scene as a whole. All these options & most are pretty mid. Keeps me cooking at home & saving money though.

Our favorite Chinese restaurant by far. We’ve been coming to this restaurant since they opened and always have an excellent meal with generous portions, amazing service, and a very family-oriented vibe. We had a hard time finding good Chinese when we moved down from NYC. This is our place for sure though. Our favorite meals: Pineapple Pork, or Mongolian Beef! The BEST!!!

I am absolutely appalled at the portion size. Me and my husband ordered our usual, chicken and broccoli, crab rangoons, beef on a stick, and general tsaos chicken. And we usually share everything. The size of the chicken and broccoli looked like a child’s meal. And the “side of fried rice” we ordered as well fits in the palm of my hand, literally picture for a reference because I could not believe it myself. We also got no sauce for the crab Rangoon’s. For $60 we will absolutely not be ordering from here again.

It was a great to find a little ‘off the beaten path’ family owned restaurant. Four of us visited the establishment and we all found the food very tasty and the generous portions let all of us take food home for lunch the next day. The owner stopped by our table to chat and was incredibly friendly.

My husband and I decided to try this place on a whim and we are so glad we did. As appetizers we ordered crab and cheese wontons and Chinese egg rolls. Then for our entrees I ordered the Beef Basil and he ordered the Black Pepper Beef. We loved it all! Everything was fresh and super delicious. The restaurant is clean and welcoming and the staff was friendly.

I have been ordering my favorite dish from here 10+ yrs. No more, it was disgusting. The sweet & sour chicken was the best around. It is now an overcooked, hard bowl of grease soaked chicken.
