We stumbled upon this restaurant and so happy we did. We ordered the toasted wrap and green curry it was delicious!! I’m pretty snobby when it comes to Thai food and haven’t seen the toasted wrap on a menu in a while and they really did a good job. Will be coming back

This place is always absolutely delicious! We’ve been coming here for years and it does not disappoint. At our most recent visit we started with the homemade potstickers and the crab rangoons for appetizers. For our entrees, we had the chicken pad Thai, the drunken noodles, and crispy fish with ginger sauce. Everything was so good! You can taste how fresh the ingredients are, and the food comes out hot and beautiful plated. Prices are super reasonable. The service is always fabulous! They bring everything quickly and are highly attentive. The ambience is clean, warm, and cozy and the decor is beautiful. Some of our other favorite dishes that we love to get are the lemongrass chicken and the lettuce wraps. They also have a great dessert! We love this spot–a hidden Tacoma gem!

A jewel in our neighborhood , Indochine with its Asian interior decor, romantic atmosphere / dimly lit / comfortable space and a most gracious host & owner ,Mr. Sean. I was there for the 1st time approaching closing hours and ordered Mongolian beef, veggies on a bed of crispy noodles. Delicious and the heat reduced the crispy noodles towards meals end to get both crispy and smooth textures. Beef was tender and flavorful , a fine dish ! The menu hosts dishes from South East Asia including Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam & Myanamar ( Burma ) along with others . So many dishes I want to try over our remaining 4 & 1 / 2 weeks here. A definite return ! Thank you Sean for such wonderful hospitality and friendship, thanks to Indochine kitchen staff for a beautifully presented dish , delicious too ! I wish for your continued success as Tacoma West Ends fine food establishment !!!

Pad see ew noodles are the small Pad thai noodles.. super disappointed. Flavor was really sweet. Most expensive thai food in town.

First time visiting, and we’re excited to try out some signature dishes. Quaint and we’ll decorated little place.
We started off with the pork and lemongrass beef satay and the signature toasted sesame wrap.
For the mmain course we ordered the classic fried rice with chicken, the lemongrass grilled chicken, and the ginger and broccoli pork.
For dessert, the coconut ice cream and mango sticky rice.
Our favorites were the satays and the lemongrass grilled chicken. They were well marinated. However, the peanut sauce was too salty and thick.
The rest of the other dishes were just ok. Mostly due to the meat being tough. It would have been great had they treated the meat and tenderize it like they would like the satay and grilled chicken. The sesame wrap was also super sweet.
Desserts were so so. Basic coconut ice cream, which we had better. The mango sticky rice has some uncooked rice, and mango was a bit on the raw side.
Overall, it’s not a great nor bad experience. Some hits and some misses.

After sleeping on it, I have decided to “Vote With My Feet” and spend our hard earned after tax money at other dining establishments in Tacoma rather than to return to Indochine. ………………….Original Review: Party of ten, celebration of family after attending ZooLights at Point defiance Park Zoo and aquarium. Fresh spring rolls with tofu were excellent, pad Thai was okay, orange chicken was excellent, green curry was very pretty and good flavor. Nice atmosphere, wait staff didn’t check to see how we liked our dishes soon after receiving them. My friends Pad thai tofu tasted very burnt but was shy to complain. Perhaps if the wait staff had asked us how things were they would have mentioned it. We might take a chance and go back another time in a year or so.

Very clean place. Great food. A lot of variety. I think you’ll like anything that’s on the menu. I happen to eat plant-based foods and I found plenty of options at this restaurant. Spring rolls are fantastic. I would definitely go again. I wish I lived closer to them. I’d be going at least twice or three times a month. Great atmosphere. Very kind people who run it. I would definitely recommend this place to anybody. Large groups would be a little bit difficult. But if you had like five or six people they could accommodate you. I thought the prices were reasonable. Especially for the quality and quantity of food you get. I think you will enjoy this place as much as I did. I’m from the other side of the state so anytime I get a chance to go over to the Tacoma area I will definitely be coming back to this place. I think you will be pleasantly surprised by this little gem.

Excellent Food! Vegan/Vegetarian Friendly. This restaurant is affiliated with the downtown Tacoma & Federal way location. Conveniently located next to point defiance, and a local co-op store. You will not be disappointed as this restaurant is beautiful inside! Perfect for a date, wedding or special occasion.

I’m torn here because we’ve ordered from this place multiple times and the food does taste very good. But today I got the lemongrass chicken entree and this was $19.95 and all it came with was three small pieces of chicken. The rice was an extra charge. I’ve had appetizers larger than this….while the food tastes good that is an crazy price for that.
