Well I walked in at 1020am on a Saturday while online says they open at 9am. While walking in the place is extremely beautiful ans was met with an attitude . The front desk girl said they only go by reservations and the next one was till 12pm. So false advertising . I told her that let me ask the others in the group and will let her know .

Our group decided to stay and we would order drinks at the bar and wait. By the way, this place had no one there and while we sat there from 1020am to 12pm not being severed a menu or even water . 12:15pm came by and then one waiter came and said the kitchen isn’t ready but she will talk the order .

We placed the order at 12:15pm , after about 1 hour again …now 1:15pm the appetizer came to table.. it was cold and seemed like it was made a long time and Noone attended to it.

After another 40 minutes , now our patients are tested.. we told the waiter at this point if the food isnt coming we will leave. Within 1 minute the food arrived. It also was cold and felt like the food was left out a while without being attended too..

The service of this place was an all time zero. This place leaves alot to be desired , while they have a great location , amazing view . The service and food was a complete and utter failure.

If you have 4 hours to sit and wait on food then this is the place for you.

Management – you need to realize that these are your front line workers and they give the most impression .

The location of this restaurant is absolutely beautiful- right on Magazine Beach where there is a lovely view and great snorkeling. It’s best to make reservations. The restaurant closes for a few hours between lunch and dinner, but I was still able to get a cocktail at the bar during that time. They have a nice bathroom, which is convenient if you are visiting the beach, and they also have a spigot there to wash off sand.

There are tables near the beach if you’d like to dress casual for dinner and then further inside, where it seemed the dress was more formal. They had live entertainment.

For appetizers, we had the callaloo cannelloni, which was in a white sauce (and kind of bland) and the bruschetta, which was one of the best we’ve ever had. The jerk chicken dinner was tender and delicious. The lobster was large with a lot of meat, but it was way overcooked and so extremely dry. I mentioned it twice to the waitress and she apologized but didn’t offer to do anything about it.

As for drinks, Hurricane Ivan and the Mai Tai were excellent. I wouldn’t recommend the Planters Punch, which tasted a little watered down.

The service provided by our waitress was okay. The bar service was very good.

I would go back and try some of their other drinks and food options.

Stunning views and nicest food imaginable!
The Cajun blackened fish was extremely good, and the calalloo caneloni were a surprisingly tasty experience. Nice variety of wines to choose from, service takes longer than usual, but the atmosphere and good food made it worth every dollar. Not a chap place, but a memorable experience all the way!

The late-night vibe and views were gorgeous, but the food was okay but could’ve been better and more seasoned, and the staff looked stressed and annoyed. Take care of your employees so the whole experience can match the aesthetic.

Nice beach side restaurant! The food was very good . Service times were also good !
In my opinion they serving staff should have better training . I found they were impolite , rough and seemed like they did not want to be there .
Bartender ( Peterson ) was very good though .

I dined here last year. Never left a review but now that I am in the country again I have decided to do so upon hearing the name of the restaurant. My mum and I chose to dine here after being recommended the place for one of our final dinners on the island.

The place is beautiful and absolutely stunning but the staff come with no manners or respect. I wonder if they have a manager who is unsupportive or puts pressure on them but they clearly don’t enjoy their job. Or they have an issue with tourists ‍♀️. My mother and I were polite at all times as that is our nature but unfortunately the same grace was not returned.

Service took forever yet it was empty pretty much, my mum ordered the fish and mash and it came out cold. The mash seemed to be days old and not fresh. I ordered the prawns and dauphinois potatoes. Mine wasn’t bad from memory although the potatoes were slightly overdone on top. My Margarita was nice.

I’m unsure if the business reads their reviews but it’s giving they don’t due to the lack of improvement from my experience last year February and reviews I’m seeing from just 2 weeks ago. I’m glad they can’t be deleted though so customers don’t fall victim to falsified hope. I have tried my best with the photos but I’ve had to screenshot the videos I took as only photos can be uploaded.

And huge internal and external review on the business needs to be made. There is so much potential yet very little care towards customers, the service provided and the dining experience as a whole. The positive reviews may come from dining in the day but as for the evening, I do not recommend this establishment.

So I did not stay at this hotel. However, I was bathing in the beach right next to the hotel. I stopped in with a couple of friends and had lunch. The food was excellent first class. The drinks were not strong and I happen to catch live music. It was a wonderful, wonderful experience even if you don’t stay at the hotel. It was a friend’s birthday. We informed the restaurant and they treated us as if we were a guest at the hotel. It’s worthwhile going and having lunch or dinner on their patio, which has exquisite views.

I don’t like to give negative reviews and I feel the ones that I do are pretty balanced (see for yourself). However I feel like the Aquarium is coasting on a great location. I was disappointed with lunch at this location for a number of reasons. First I was told off for not washing sand off my feet when arriving for 11:00 coffee, by a member of staff. Not a big issue, and was not done dramatically, but I did not know there was a tap and it just felt a bit odd and uncomfortable. I asked if I needed to reserve a decent table for lunch and was told it was not necessary. Fast forward to 13:30 and we were offered a table in the dark recesses of the restaurant away from the other diners (I exaggerate to demonstrate but this is how it felt). We asked about an empty table by the ocean but was told it was reserved! We opted for a stooled cocktail table at the front but it was not comfortable for a meal. My wife complained that we had tried to reserve but had been discouraged and we received a frosty response and there was a bit of discomfort there on in. We ordered quickly but waited an hour+ for our food. We complained when another couple who had arrived 30 mins after us got their food. In the hour our table moved from shade into full sun and it was already not ideal for anything but a quick cocktail. It still took another 30 mins for our food to arrive and another couple who arrived after we complained had their food first as well. I told the senior server I felt we had been punished for the complaint about the table. She told us that was not the case and that the machine in the kitchen had broken – which may be true but I felt like even after I complained things moved very slowly. Bottom line I felt the vibes were bad – a little bit like “we are the best restaurant in the area you should be grateful you are here at all”. I don’t expect anyone to be subservient to me as a customer but the vibes from the staff were not great, there was an icy edge to every interaction and I did not feel I was treated well. We tried the La Sagasse Boutique Hotel yesterday and the place was amazing, better food (sorry but it’s true) and great ambience. As I say I feel the Aquarium is coasting on location and a high end reputation but ultimately felt it was all a big disappointment. The real grade was 2 stars – but those never get read and wanted people to see this honest review.

The first look of this restaurant is very pleasing. It is beautiful designed loved hearing the sounds of the waves.
Food took a little while to come out but it was very delicious and tasty.
Service seemed a little like I was a bother. Maybe because it was late I am not sure. I dont know if I wasnt fully heard but had to request my drink from the bartender because one drink was never put in. The one thing that really upset me was that it was getting close to closing and the young lady came around and just started picking up the extra cutlery. No warning, no asking is this okay. Then proceeds to reach between my main dish and side dish to get cutlery. I really didnt appreciate that. She could have simply asked is it okay to collect the cutlery and my table could have gathered it and given it to her ourselves. It made me feel very rushed and like I was being pushed out. We were not the last tables either so there was no need for that rude behavior.
