I’ve been wanting to try Salt Sushi for the longest time, and I finally got the chance—but unfortunately, the experience was quite underwhelming. The menu itself was impressive, with plenty of options, but the food didn’t quite live up to expectations.
We ordered some sashimi, but it seemed freezer-burnt, with noticeable discoloration. Some of the rolls also had a very strong fishy taste, which was off-putting. Another surprise was the desserts, I had no idea they were served as rolls, which made them feel much heavier than expected.
That being said, there were a couple of standout items. The crab Rangoons and shrimp tempura were both delicious and well-prepared. I really enjoyed those, but overall, I was hoping for a much better experience.

Went for the all you can eat. Sushi is excellent and consistent. Less than traditional style sushi on the menu but was surprised by how excellent they were (firecracker roll). Rice bowls were surprisingly good as well. Will definitely be returning!

This little hidden gem has, by far, the best sushi in town. The food is fresh and delicious, the presentation is excellent, and the staff is friendly and attentive. The restaurant itself is clean and modern. We fancy ourselves sushi connoisseurs and have tried out most of the sushi restaurants in the area. We have yet to find another restaurant that impresses us as much as Salt. This place is our go-to for our sushi fix.

Great sushi I would highly recommend! I would just recommend doing your due dilligence if muslim consuming Halal food to ask about deep fried as I was informed all deep fried items were done together with meat and not in separate sections.

I recently dined at this restaurant for the first time and had a delightful experience. We opted for the all-you-can-eat option and were blown away by the incredible sushi selection. The staff was exceptionally polite and provided excellent service. I can’t wait to return to this place again, as the overall taste of the food was truly exceptional.

Ordered take out Fri Dec 17 and was very disappointed. The order was inaccurate and overall quality was poor. The rice was stale and the avacados were brown, the miso soup tasted like water and had no kelp and very little tofu in it, I bit into a hard core of some type in the sushi. This was actually the second time we ordered here, the first we ate in and the quality was better but service level was poor. Will most likely not be returning.

Ordered from Salt Sushi for the first time tonight. I got takeout and ordered 3 rolls. All were excellent, fresh and well priced. The friendly staff were able to assist with answering questions I had about the menu. They let me know they run a contest on Facebook and give away prizes there. Very clean and modern interior- I will have to stop by to eat in one time. A great choice for sushi in Tecumseh- give it a try! I ordered a shrimp California roll, general tao roll and crispy crunch roll- (see photos for general tao and crispy crunch rolls).

I ordered the Golden dragon and the Rock and Roll today for lunch. The recipes are not ordinary, but when you taste them you can see the genius there. I also enjoyed the AYCE a while ago.
