Nori Japan, a popular West Coast spot has hit the Triad! Nori Japan is located inside of the Walmart off of Wendover Ave., in Greensboro, NC. Manager Peter was very friendly and enthusiastic about the company, which just opened earlier this year. I know personally that the Teriaki Chicken is delicious, as are the chicken gyoza dumplings. They have a variety of hibachi entrees and sushi options, and also bubble tea and fresh smoothies. Since Nori Japan is located inside of the Walmart, they share a parking lot and bathroom facilities, however, everything is accessible. When you are in the mood for some good Japanese food fast, I recommend Nori Japan. Tell them Kindra Speech sent ya!

Nori Japan – T9 Mongolian Chicken & Matcha Milk Tea Review
I ordered the T9 Mongolian Chicken with fried rice through a delivery service, and overall it was a satisfying meal! The portion sizes were very generous, especially the chicken.
The Mongolian chicken was well-seasoned, slightly spicy, and had a crispy crust that reminded me of Chick-fil-A nuggets (in the best way). The texture of the chicken was just right, tender and flavorful.
The fried rice was also tasty, with peas and carrots mixed in, and a good portion size. Some of the veggies (broccoli, cabbage, and carrot) were a bit overcooked for my liking, but the Mongolian sauce seeped into the rice, adding great flavor. Honestly, I didn’t even need the yum yum sauce, but I used it anyway!
The yum yum sauce was delicious, creamy, flavorful and not too sweet. It came with one pack of yum yum and one of duck sauce, and I added an extra yum yum for $0.95… Everything was packed well and arrived hot.
I also tried the Matcha Milk Tea with crystal boba, and it was really good! Smooth, balanced, and refreshing.
Overall, I’d definitely order from Nori Japan again, flavorful food, big portions, and everything arrived just as expected.

We had the Tempura 3pcs, and honestly, it was different from Japanese tempura but still crispy. However, after finishing them, we realized the hot tempura which are served in styrofoam left 2 burnt holes at the corners as shown in picture. I hope no one gets cancer from such bad practices of using styrofoam.

The food is good!! I always get Teriyaki chicken and white rice. The steamed veggies are good too. Prices are great for the amount of food you get on your plate. The staff is nice. They don’t remember their frequent customers(-1pt.). I hate it’s inside Walmart(-1pt.). I’ve never eaten inside but I do sit around and watch my food be prepared. I eat here often now!

This place is in Walmart near the produce area but it’s SO GOOD. Spent about 14.50 on a bento box and the value proposition is GREAT, not to sound cringey but this is for the gym girls and guys that want to eat out and get a decent amount of protein.

I have been there a few times and the food is always good every time I get. I love their teriyaki chicken with white rice. The bento box is also really good. It would be nice if they have a phone number so I can order ahead.

We finished our visit to Walmart with my family and stopped by this place. It’s delicious; I highly recommend the bento box. They were very friendly, and there was a guy who, even though he was cooking, served me wonderfully. Great customer service.

Nori Japan is an absolute hidden gem in Hickory! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The portions are generous, and you can tell they take pride in both the taste and presentation. The staff is super friendly and quick, making every visit smooth and enjoyable. Whether you’re grabbing a quick lunch or sitting down for dinner, the service is consistently fast and welcoming. Definitely one of the best spots in town for delicious Japanese food—I’ll be coming back

At one point the food was great, until we went to order and saw the cook come from the back, wiped his nose with his hands. And then proceeded to handle food with those same hands without washing them and no gloves.
When we brought this to their attention, all the cook could say was I’m not sick, it’s just allergies. UNACCEPTABLE AND GROSS
