If you’re looking for a fun and flavorful dining experience, I highly recommend Hibachi Sushi Ya! The place is huge, with plenty of parking available. They offer a variety of seating options, including hibachi tables, a bar, and a traditional dining area. I loved the cute koi pond you see right when you walk in—it really sets a nice vibe.
My friend and I did the hibachi experience and started with cocktails. She got a lychee martini, and I went for a Pom Passion Margarita—both were fantastic. We also shared two sushi rolls for appetizers, which were fresh and tasty (check out the pictures I’ve attached, though I can’t recall the names of the rolls).
Our hibachi chef was super entertaining and skilled, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. My friend had the Seafood Delight hibachi entree while I ordered the shrimp and scallop hibachi entrée, and I was really pleased with my meal—the shrimp and scallops were perfectly cooked.
The staff was incredibly kind and attentive throughout the evening, which made the whole experience even better. If you’re looking for delicious food and a lively atmosphere, this is definitely a spot worth visiting!

I recently attended a birthday party with my daughter at Hibachi Sushiya in Darien, and it was absolutely fantastic! The chef put on an amazing show, skillfully preparing delicious steak and shrimp right before our eyes. The food was incredibly fresh and flavorful, and the atmosphere was lively and fun. They even surprised us with a birthday song and took memorable photos to hang on their walls. It was a perfect blend of great food and entertainment, making it an unforgettable evening for everyone. Highly recommended!

We ordered sushi take-out here and like all of our rolls. The chef specials are really fun and unique!
Our take-out order did take longer than what we were originally told (50 min instead of 35) and they have a B-rating from the health department. I would also recommend making a reservation for hibachi, we saw a couple of families come in without reservations and there were no available spots anymore.

The only reason I’m giving this place two stars and not one star is because the sushi itself is actually pretty decent. I have now ordered from here three times, tonight being the third. The first time we ordered from here the roll I ordered came completely with out rice (they have riceless rolls – I double checked, this was not one of them.) I chalked it up to a late and off night delivery. It was late and we just wanted to eat. The second time we ordered from here the food was good and everything was correct. Their veggie fried rice is actually quite good. And tonight, the last straw. Our order was about 10 minutes late. The guy pulls up, and I normally wouldn’t really care about this but now it’s just the principle of the matter, and he doesn’t even get out of the car. Not to sound bougie but I mean c’mon. When I opened the bag of food, it looked like the food was flung around or it fell off the seat or something. Maybe it was dropped. Both containers of sushi were completely mashed together. Some of the rolls weren’t actually rolled anymore. My girlfriend’s veggie rolls were mushed into my yellowtail rolls. The fillings were also coming out of the rolls. I get it, accidents happen but at least say something, or acknowledge it even. But to just pawn it off and not care like that is absurd. We also ordered steamed veggie dumplings which were ice cold. I get it, they’re dumplings, but the last time we ordered them, they were at least warm. So this will be the last time I order from here, which again is a shame because the food when correct is pretty decent and the fried rice is probably the best thing I’ve eaten from here.

This is not my first at Hibachi Sushi Ya I love the food. Chinese food is amazing as well as sushi. we got free sushi special roll from chef it is absolutely amazing. remember order from chef called “charlie special ” trust me it is very good show in picture. Hibachi is busy lot birthday parties overall service and food was good. recommended

Ordered a selection of sushi for delivery today for lunch. The order came in pretty quickly and was packed well.
The sushi itself was pretty good,l and tasty. It was fairly well priced. I’ll be trying out their dinner service another time.

A hidden gem. Located behind Trader Joe’s. Can’t believe I haven’t found this place sooner. Staff is very attentive, kind and food was very well-made. Would definitely recommend to my friends.
