The waiter will explain this to you, or on the offchance they don’t, *you are allowed to ask questions*, but basically you can order 5 items per person every 10 minutes. That means that one person adds five items to the tablet, then the next person adds five items to the tablet, and then the next, and the next, until everyone in your party has 5 items, and then you hit order. *You can add the same item multiple times per order.* 10 minutes after ordering – and your tablet will show a countdown at the top of the screen, so not 10 minutes after you get your food, 10 minutes after you *order* it – you can go around and order again. I would recommend starting off with ordering a couple of sushi rolls and some broth, and some meats and/or veggies to put in the hotpot. The sushi comes out at record speed and you will not be kept waiting like at a regular restaurant. There is soy sauce and sriracha at the table and several of the sushi rolls come with spicy mayo so you don’t need to order sauces right off the bat. You also don’t order your plates and utensils like some people are complaining about for some reason; you just ask the waiter that brings you your food for some if your table wasn’t already set when you sat down. It’s truly not that complicated and I don’t know what about pressing a few buttons on an ipad is making you guys turn into Patrick Star. You do not need to be a Michelin star chef to throw some meat and veggies into broth and wait for it to get done. This is coming from a guy who’s burned nachos before. Also the waiters are there to bring you your order, they are not there to hover over you as you eat – if you want a refill on something you are going to have to order it. This is where the all you can eat menu has its perks; you can have unlimited free sodas as long as you can drink them all.
5 stars overall; some things did get mixed up and our table started receiving ghost orders (there were only 2 other tables full when we went and it didn’t seem like they weren’t getting their orders) but we just ate the extra food anyway since we went for the all you can eat. Staff was kind and helpful and did not rush us to leave even though we were there shortly before closing. Food was phenomenal. Will definitely visit again!
Great food, but the customer service seriously needs work.
We were fully prepared for a long wait time, that was not an issue for us at all. However while waiting, the hostess was in and out and not accommodating to others waiting in line, guests were visibly frustrated. One guest had placed an online order, paid, and drove 15 minutes to pick up his food, once there the hostess was very rude and told him no online orders on Valentine’s Day, and walked away.
Once we were sat, our drinks did not arrive even after all of our food had come out. I flagged down who was supposed to be our waiter (even though he had not checked on us the entire time we had been there) and asked politely if we could get our drinks. He sighed, asked if we had placed the order to which I said yes to, and said “it’s very busy I do not know what’s going on they will come out when they come out” and walked away. I understand holidays are busy, but the exchange was rude and uncomfortable.
We noticed we had no napkins, so my boyfriend placed an order of napkins on our tablet. Each napkin counted towards the food count on our tablet, and the max was 10 items every 10 minutes. We didn’t want to waist our entire order count on just napkins, so he ordered one napkin, assuming the waiter would bring more than one. The waiter returned with just 1 napkin, so my boyfriend politely asked if we could get more, to which the waiter rolled his eyes to, sighed, and said “hold on we are very busy”. My boyfriend and I were very shocked at how rude he was being, and when he returned he tossed two napkins on our table, not even stopping, just tossed them at us and walked away. I was super mad. We paid $80 for 2 people which is pricey, so we were extremely disappointed in the service we received. I had overhead the tables next to us complaining about the service as well. On our way out, the hostess was on his phone while people were waiting in line. I tipped $1 because of how awful the service was. Great food, but save yourself the drive and money if you are looking for a special night out. We probably won’t be back.
First time eating here. Use of the tablet was explained rather well, but the center grill and operation of the hot plates were not explained at all. Figured them out eventually, but a quick explanation would have bumped up the service rating from a 4 to a 5.
Although not very busy during our Saturday lunch visit, the restaurant was a bit warm with all the hot plates.
Overall a great meal, solid first experience, plan on returning again in the future, and highly recommend!
We broke out laughing 15 minutes into the pre-meal orientation. Do your guests and waiters a favor and just provide a print out with a few simple steps to ordering food. Keep the instructional lecture under 3 minutes.
Pro-tip: buffet allows you to order 10 items at a time once every ten minutes. You get locked out if you order more than 10 or don’t wait 10 minutes. A utensil to cook with & your bill count as an item We had some laughs when we couldn’t order our bill from their iPad because we didn’t wait ten minutes.
