The food was good, and that was straight from a Colombian. Beans needed some more seasoning, and they weren’t true Colombian beans, more PR ones. The aji is fantastic the best by far. Sancocho was finished on a Saturday afternoon?? Shame on you! I would go absolutely go back.. Definitely need to rethink seating area.
We ordered a few things and the table had very limited space. A sandwich was brought to us and put on the edge of the table. My friend got up to ask for a drink and the sandwich fell face down onto the floor.
We picked it up and set it aside. When the server came we told her what had happened. She said “are you sure you don’t want it? What a sin to throw it away.” Why would want a sandwich that fell on the floor? She took it away. The sandwich only had 2 bites taken out of it. Not an exaggeration.
When the bill comes, the sandwich is still on the check. We politely ask if there is any way we can get it taken off the bill. They explain since they didn’t drop it, they couldn’t refund it or give us a replacement. Nothing was offered to us. I even offered paying half price for it. As it was a $16 sandwich. They said no since it wasn’t their fault.
I’m never returning. If a restaurant can’t replace or refund something that was accidentally damaged then I don’t want to give them business anymore. They also automatically put gratuity on the bill for parties of 2 or more. They don’t disclose that and DONT DESERVE IT.
The restaurant was freezing cold. The hot chocolate we ordered was at room temperature. The waitress was even walking around the dining room in a big white puffer jacket. They have no decorum. Unprofessional behavior. This place is a mess!
