My fiancé and I absolutely LOVE Plated Table – so much so that we booked it for our rehearsal dinner this summer. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the food is consistently incredible.
This past weekend, we (very embarrassingly) forgot about our pre-paid reservation for their Whole Hog Cassoulet. I had been sick and it completely slipped our minds. We felt terrible. Instead of making us feel worse, their team handled it with so much grace and kindness. They reached out to us and went above and beyond by offering to package our meal as a to-go order so we wouldn’t miss out. We’re so thankful they did this for us, and it was DELICIOUS. After a few days of not feeling well, having such a thoughtfully prepared, ready-to-eat meal was exactly what I needed.
That level of thoughtfulness and service is rare. It just reaffirmed why we chose Plated Table to be part of such a special weekend in our lives. We’re so grateful for a restaurant that not only serves amazing food, but truly cares about its guests. Highly, highly recommend.

The ribs were outstanding. I would go back for a plate of those again every chance I have. The vibe of the restaurant is also absolutely worth a visit. You eat at a shred table that runs down the middle of the restaurant. Also def save space for dessert. The cheesecake was our favorite.

Impeccable service every time! The commitment to sourcing local is amazing. The servers and kitchen staff are very accommodating and kind about food allergies/restrictions. My partner and I both have several, so it is a treat to eat at a place with such amazing food!

I had a fabulous experience at Plated Table while visiting Iowa City. The food was fantastic. I had the salmon and it was cooked perfectly. I believe the menu changes regularly, and they source ingredients selectively from regional farms and producers which is right up my alley. They have a great cocktail and wine list, and the ambiance and decor are charming and inviting. The staff and service were excellent too. Obviously, I’m a fan, and I’ll be back if I have the opportunity to visit Iowa City again.

Absolutely amazing food, service and atmosphere. I expected it to be excellent and it still exceeded my expectations. Understand this is an artisinal experience and Kitchen – as such the menu may be somewhat fixed come hungry and I strongly encourage doing the wine pairing. 10/10

Magic. They remodeled a ‘dump’ into a cozy, elegant setting. The limited rotating menu with a unique selection of gourmet tin fish makes for a delicious supper. Good selection of wines and amaro. Finally, the long beautiful tables create community.

From the plethora of tinned fish neatly assorted on a shelf, to the wonderfully (painstakingly) laminated puff pastry belonging to the onion tart, Plated Table is a veritable home for those that are enamored by food.
