The Highlights:
– Authentic Pho: Unlike other places nearby that use the wrong noodles, the Beef Pho here is the real deal with proper rice vermicelli and an incredible, rich broth.
– Great Value: You can get a huge bowl of soup or a rice plate for around $14–$15, which is unbeatable for this area.
– Fresh Options: The Grilled Pork Salad and Fresh Spring Rolls were crisp and flavorful.
– Dietary Friendly: They have a dedicated Vegetarian Broth and plenty of tofu options, plus a surprisingly huge menu that even includes American breakfast and burgers (great if you have picky eaters in your group!). I am sensitive to peanuts, a common staple in Vietnamese, and it was nice there were options for sauces.
Service: Fast and super friendly family-run vibe. It can get warm inside, so I recommend grabbing one of the tables outside on the sidewalk to watch the Colorado Blvd traffic.
Highly recommend for a casual weeknight dinner or quick lunch!
The staff was kind and welcoming, even with two slightly tired, slightly wild kiddos in tow. The food came out quickly, which we really appreciated, and everything was delicious.
The restaurant is clean, comfortable, and casual — a great little escape after the energy of the museum. It’s rare to find a spot that works so well for both adults and kids, but this one nailed it.
Definitely adding Ginger Spice and Noodle to our list of go-to places whenever we’re in Pasadena. Bonus points for being just steps away from the museum entrance!
The mango boba tea was good as well.
The chicken fried rice is a good huge portion.
Definitely will be coming back.
If you’re not Vietnamese, worth trying since pretty good price; otherwise, should find a place with more original taste.
Lots of things to choose from on the menu!
Cute kid drawings on the wall (there was one of minecraft characters and someone getting stabbed lol).
The football game was also playing on the tv above. So I could see sports fans appreciating it!
The food was delicious! But I feel the meat portion was stingy. Barely any meat to match the rice. I understand we get two options to go with the rice but it was not proportionate. Therefore they get 4 stars from me.
